I still got an old style Bullworker and chest expanders old school style wooden handles and steel springs...

The equipment I have, I've had for decades. It looks exactly like the photo I posted except the grips are red. I imagine they come with a variety of spring tensions to make the exercise progressive. I have no idea what the force of the one I have is. It does get easier over time as I reacquaint myself with the movement and develop the muscle strength required for the exercise. Like with other exercises, I go slow and deliberate. This is not something one should do distractedly.

My shoulder and arm are much, much better than yesterday. Guess I just used these muscles enough to feel a little pain but hopefully didn't pull anything.

I am off to Salem in a few minutes to pick up my sister. She is having an EEG here in Portland this afternoon. So I am spending the day on the road....two trips down and two trips back home, all in all about 250 miles.

I hope all of you in the midst of the storm are alive and well.

I hit the gym today. Nothing to brag about, but every day that I manage to accelerate my workout routine beyond some puny stuff I do at home is a huge bonus.

Some idiots have been posting my head on frumpy bodies in silly thongs. I am working on a surprise attack, which will blow them out of the water. Sure my ego is big, but there aren't a lot of 70+ year old men who look as fit as me. Thank you mom and dad for the good genetics. LOL!

My wife is hanging in there. We are all struggling with the possibilities. It has dawned on me that it might be a good time to connect with hospice folks. Our grandson is having a particularly hard time right now. He loves his nana as well he should. It is especially hard for young folks to understand that none of us is here forever. Heck, my wife may have the last laugh and outlive us all. One can only hope.

Did a modified HIT today.

Back.  Slow pull ups to below neckline.  3 sets of down to 5 reps.
Machine rows.  One drop set to failure.

Chest.  One set of negatives on the machine bench press with a friend pushing onto the "bar" for added resistance.  One set of three negatives with the stack and him pushing.  I thought I could have easily done a few more negatives but felt like there was stress on my right pec so I chose to stop.

One set to failure of machine flys followed immediately of one set to failure of machine bench presses.

One set to failure of DB shrugs.  Done.

Tomorrow will be delts and arms done in the same way.

It took five sets of DB laterals to warm up my shoulders before I did the one working set to failure and followed that with a set of machine shoulder presses done drop set fashion to failure.

Next up, BB cheat curls.  Warm up with three sets of 5 to 10 reps and then I did one drop set to failure.  Alternate DB curls, two sets to failure followed by 50 reps with an empty bar.

Tricep pushdowns to warm the elbows then one set of close grip machine bench presses to failure, one set of pushdowns (drop set) to failure and finally two sets of 5 reps each slow bodyweight dips.

Done.
