His swing looked alright to me in that YouTube clip.

His throwing form is all fucked up, throws it like a football (note the follow-through).

Where does it say he refused to play ?

He was being featured in the Wildcat offense.

He was angry, so he told the coaches he didn't want to be used in any Wildcat packages.

When his only role was wildcat, and he said he wasn't doing any wildcat... that is being selfish.   He's a paid pro... he should play where the coaches ask him to play.

he handled it badly because he was butthurt.  I guarantee, if Colon Kapershitck refused to play a role his coach asked, you'd be demanding he be cut.    Tebow does it, and you don't see a thing wrong.

He refused to play the wildcat, which is where the coaches were using him.  "If I can't be starting QB, then I won't play".   Punk move.  Walked him right out of the league.

Where does it say he was angry?

Right here:
New York Jets backup quarterback Tim Tebow was so frustrated when the starting job was conferred upon Greg McElroy early last week that he told the coaches he didn't want to be used in any Wildcat packages Sunday against the San Diego Chargers, multiple Jets sources told ESPNNewYork.com.

Where did it say his only roll was in the Wildcat?

Right here:

Sources said Tebow let it be known to Ryan that he wasn't happy in a Wildcat-only role. It's unclear how Ryan responded to Tebow, but reaction later, one source said, was "next" -- as in next man up.

If you're going to be the #1 Tebow defender, at least own it when he doesn't handle things well.  In this case, he handled it very poorly.  Agreed?

Right here what? He was frustrated. Dude, he got shipped to NY and saw no play time. Angry and frustrated are two different emotions. You and your spin make it sound like he threw a tantrum.

Coach wanted to use him in a certain role.  He's a paid professional athlete.

"Angry" and "Frustrated" are two things he should have dealt with, and then shown up and played where the coach told him to play.

I think this is WORSE than throwing a tantrum... because at least then he kicks and cries, then shows up and plays ball.  Instead, he told the coach he refused to play wildcat, which was where the coach was going to use him.

Tebow isn't a team player, or he would have done the Wildcat, as the coach wanted, and yeah, the team probably would have benefitted because he would have been a large unexpected body catching the ball, he could have made some good plays.

Instead, because T"I"M Tebow had to either play QB, or refuse to play at all, he told the coach of a professional football team that he'd only play where HE wanted to play, not where the coaching staff decided was best for the team.

I know, it sucks he got shipped to NYJ and saw no playing time, and I know, he must have been hurt they chose the rookie-ish kid over him.  But they did. And as a professional, his role should have been to say "I'm happy to play where the team needs me", caught 7 passes for 2 TDs, then rocked the free agency market as a solid QB who can run people over and catch passes over the top in the wildcat.  Instead, he was branded "a guy who will refuse to play if the coach won't use him exactly as he wants".

Bad move by him.  You can admit it.

he's no randy jackson.

tebow quit on his team because they didn't let him start a game when he wanted to.   Refused to play the role they asked.

Fans try to justify it with "he was angry" but we're talking pro athletes being paid a lot of money to play a fraction of a game.

Because Bo Jackson was a running back. You're Canadian so it's only right to enlighten you. You seem almost as clueless as 240.

you think it's okay for a player to refuse to play, because he can't be the starter.

because he's angry.  gotcha.  imagine if high schoolers started this trend, refusing to play RB or WR because they wanted to be the starting QB.  You'd probably laugh their asses out of the locker room, because another person won that job and you were doing what was best for the TEAM.  Even if that person's personal goals were different.

Tim tebow can do it tho, right?

tebow put his own goals, above the goals of the team.
he decided to play the position he wanted - starting QB - or refuse to play at all.

this isn't intramural.  Tebow was paid over $40 grand salary for that game - i bet he still cashed that check ;) Even though he refused to play where the coach wanted him.

Shitty team player.   Great "I" player.  Total #heath all the way.

Should be interesting to see what happens. He looked fine out there. But he's no longer a kid. Pushing 30. I'm sure some team will give him a minor league contract. No doubt he'll fill the stands in the minors and have a following. It's just a matter of what he'll look like against real pitching. Worth a shot. Also Tebow will have to be careful with PED usage. Would be awful to see the guy come back with a positive test down the road. We all know how the media loves to prop guys way the fuck up only to wait for something to happen for the big crash. Tebow testing positive in the NFL wouldn't be that big of a deal. But the baseball people would crucify him.

Shizzo got screwed. Imagine the Nike campaign Shizzo would have had if he didn't give up the game. Screw Bo Knows. It would have been Shizzo Knows...

BP is typically 45-50mph. That's when he hit the home runs. Then they put in a few former MLB guys throwing low 80s and Tebow couldn't get around on the ball. Hit everything to opposite field. There were also comments about his arm not having the strength/technique to make MLB throws. Being a great HS player doesn't equate to being able to play MLB.

The clip was just batting practice.

I read elsewhere that against live pitching he went 1/20 and put only three other balls in play :-\

obviously, a liberal pitcher and referee that doesn't recognize talent.
