Still turbo lag, computer artificially reduced on running a tiny turbo that gives out on the high end, isn't comparable to NA

I dunno. I would agree with that maybe 10-15 years ago, but today, it's just not really there.

Turbo lag is virtually non-existent in today's world if someone knows what they are doing.

I have yet to read or experience a valid explanation of how this is uniquely different than American engineering when it comes to cars (and I have driven late model E63S and M4)

Thing is no one wealthy cares about American cars, they buy Ferraris, rolls, Bentley, Mercedes, etc. ;)

This is a fact big boobs

Not if they want something with fins and is a mile long.  Europeans never learned how to make things like that.   :D  ;)

Weird, several of my car friends own both Italian exotics and American performance cars.

(Insecure) people who buy cars for status perhaps, but not actual enthusiasts.

lol that's why the 200k NSX was 3 seconds behind the 80k Grand Sport Corvette at the last Lightning Lap?  ;D

Not true, the NSX was 4 seconds ahead of the Corvette. I actually know someone who was there and saw the timing.

I know that guy too.  He said Hondas only make good lawnmowers nowadays and not cars.

The decisions made by a head Engineer in one country will be different than the decisions made by a head Engineer in another.  Compare the Porsche 911 to the Corvette and the Nissan GTR.  The purpose of each car is essentially the same, but the way the Engineers have gone about it is radically different.  Think about all the decisions that have to be made regarding the engine, transmission, suspension, steering, body, and brakes.

No, you dialed the wrong number.  Here is what he said:

Actually, that was a misprint by car and driver. I know some of the publishers there.

All depends if Trump is impeached and Hillary becomes president. If that happens, I'll be okay.

obviously they're engineered differently, what I meant is I don't understand the argument that "German engineering" is supposedly a beneficial trait in a car. It's a phrase that certain fanboys use towards their German brand and sometimes follow up with "you need to drive one to understand what it means," when they're not able to explain it.

Anyone else watching the GTLM 12 hours Of Sebring race today?  Ford GT and Corvette are dominating the top 3...Porsche, Ferrari and BMW trailing..

Germans are supposed to over engineer things. Benz sucks, everyone in my family that has bought one  has had major problems with them. If you want German, go Audi/VW or BMW.

Consumer Reports puts BMW and VW at the bottom tier of their recommended list as a brand.  :-\

BMW is number 9 on their list, not near bottom. But anyway they also put Buick number 3. Their list doesn't mean anything.

The Honda Civic is current the best selling car in America and the CR-V is the second best selling SUV.  They must be doing something right.

Financially, BMW and Honda are doing better than ever.  That doesn't happen unless you're producing vehicles people want to buy.

Has nothing to do with being a fanboy.  Hop in a German sports car, then drive a mustang, corvette, Camaro, etc.  You'll see for yourself.  Transmission, handling, luxury, etc.  Better than American cars.

I guess you missed the part earlier where I said I have driven M4 and E63S and have no clue what "German engineering" advantage refers to (relative to my Stingray), they're nice cars don't get me wrong but the "German engineering" phrase is meaningless nowdays.
