Land reform is a fine idea, despite having no validity in terms of international law. Here is my take, and it will be repeated, to my extreme detriment:
Have the land. Take it. But just hang on, as I need to dump 5 million tons of super liquid concrete down this mine, flatten this farm, and I wish, dynamite this road and city.
It would be a totally fair trade, if the aim was to return to the original nguni tradition of moving through Africa following cows. It's not. Everyone will trade any land for a nice looking car, watch. Claiming African traditional ancestral rights, that were lost to the British in a recognized war treaty, to inherit white monopolistic capitalist constructs for oneself, never mind the tribes, in not what Mr Mandela had in mind.
