I don’t think anyone in this thread who actually knows guitar would suggest otherwise. Those of us with even a mild intellect know there can never be a “best” guitarist. Some of us presenting our favourites do so with the understanding the preferences are merely reflections of the musical attributes that most appeal to our sensibilities. I’m a total guitar fanboy and I recognize there being virtuosity in every style available to be played on the instrument. Having said this, my list of favourites exposes my personal tastes, naturally. But goddamn are there some absolute monsters in, say, country. Or nylon acoustic approaches. Whatever. In your want to be read as enlightened, you’ve overstepped what’s actually mostly presented in this thread.
