I resigned from the ship, I'm the kind of person that constantly needs new challenges.  The way I go about my life is find a place that interests me and move there until it gets boring. 27 years in Chicago. 1 year in Vegas was all I needed,  Hawaii was a great 8 years. Now I'm up in Tahoe working at a beautiful hotel/resort and its amazing thus far. I'll eventually retire in Thailand at some point mid to late 40's.
The Fanning island ship I was never on, it was before my time there, but I believed they went there so the ship could open its Casino while out of US waters.

I also lived in Tahoe for a brief spell .... Incline Village ... Satellite Drive,

Bought a small piece of property but Boise Cascde had some damn tough building restrictions that included counting the trees on the property and measuring them before you could 'remove them' to build a cabin.

I said "remove them' because the term "cut them down' were words that were never spoken within the Tahoe area.

Did a lot of skiing in all the resorts,  got chased by a couple of bears , fine dined at all the best dining spots, drank a few too many alcoholic beverages ... many tmes , and learned how to play blackjack in one of the casinos at the age of 17 until the pit boss would tell us to go into the coffee shop until the sheriff departed.

I assume that you're mixing cocktails at one of the casinos or learning how to be a dealer, or possibly even security work.

You picked the right spot to do it!
