"Ketone administration elicited anticancer effects in vitro and in vivo independent of glucose levels or calorie restriction"
My father-in-law has blood cancer. The prognosis is a slow death, essentially. 6 months ago I gave him a container of ketone supplements to try (pictured below- and bought off Amazon).
His checkup by his doctor 1 month ago showed his condition has improved and the doctor could not explain it. Coincidentally my father in law told me he feels better than at any other point in the past 3 years. So there just might be something to this ketone stuff after all.
Hypertrophy:
Thank you for your post, and you have my deepest sympathies, Sir.
There’s understandably NOT a lot of research into metabolic therapies since no one/no company stands to prosper financially.
Having said that, I’ve researched the ketogenic diet a bit, and I’m happy to report factual data.
It’s been found that the Keto diet, in essence, metabolically “starves” glycolytic cancer cells
(like glioblastoma, etc.). Cancer tissues like these thrive on glycogen as their primary fuel source. As such, it is no surprise that depriving the body of sources of glycogen will cut off a major fuel source to such cells.
When those cells can’t get the shit they need to survive, they WILL DIE!!!
I’m not exactly “current” with the latest research, but as of 2014, there were some VERY EDUCATED SOURCES speculating that a 5-9 day fast “could” purge the body of pre-cancer” cells.
If you, or anyone else, is interested, I will happily forward you the additional information I have.
Cancer is nothing short of a mother-fucker, and I wish you and everyone the best!!!
Regards,
Montague
