Killed it today.

They have something similar at Pullen Park Playground my toddler likes to climb. Playgrounds and climbing are a great way to start to develop coordination and strength good job. I tell my son someday he may lift weights with Daddy if he keeps climbing on the playground

You might think I've lost my mind, but accupuncture worked for me - not that spiritual incense burning bullshit version, but a proper physio nailing the specific nerve (not a Qi line or a Shakra!) that ran down my forearm

I got the sessions for free through my job, and to be honest I walked in there thinking it was a crock, but when he took the needles out I was absolutely amazed - the pain had completely gone, and that lasted most of the week

Of course, I had to go weekly to keep the benefit going, but during that time I eliminated the activity that caused the flare-up

You could do worse than give that a go - honestly

Sounds cool Taffin, but I didn't understand a word of what the fuck you were talking about in the first two lines.  I don't even like taking my TRT shots every week.  I actually have been off it since November, because of it and the drive to the Dr.  (I get them in my shoulder, and I am short and have TRex length arms so I can't do it myself).  I can't imagine getting multiple needles stuck into me every week to reduce pain.   

Seriously, does the pain you deal with during a session each week outweigh the pain you deal with without it throughout the week?  Also, does insurance cover that shit?

Here`s a tip for sore elbows Mr. Guy That`s Been "LIFTING" Forever.....start every pressing day ie chest + delts... and every triceps day with three light sets of fifty pressdowns....nothing taxing,just warm em up and get blood into the area.....may want to use the pink dumbells aslo as going lighter for a while will definitely help.

After my bicep tendon tear, PT had me doing the arm bike to warm up along with some band movement for shoulder/rotator.  I have bands, and luckily my gym has 2 arm bikes.....I think I'm the only one that uses them as I'ver NEVER seen anyone else use it.

Anyway, between the arm bike for 2.5 minutes going forward and back each, and then doing the 5 band exercises PT taught me, it's a quick ...10-12 minute warmup....and I felt much safer lifting heavy weights again at 45-46 after the tear.

I trained at a Bally’s fitness center back around 85 when the stair master with the revolving steps first came out.It was funny they got 2 of them and you couldn’t get near that damn thing.So many people wanted to use it you had to sign in on a clipboard and when your turn finally came they would call your name and then you could use it.The funny part was after about 3weeks you could pretty much get on that damn thing anytime you wanted it.It looked cool but after everyone used it once they wanted nothing to do with it.

This was a standard leg day :
5 - 10 mins bike
then start doing 5 - 10 reps on empty bar, 95, 135, 185, 225, 275....by that time you were "warmed up".  How wrong we were.

My shoulder mobility is far far better than it ever was in bodybuilding.  I actually was more injured with bodybuilding than crossfit.

Crossfit is still gay, but proper warm ups and mobility work is more important that most "bodybuilders" will ever admit.

I didn't know very much about the mobility stuff until I got into CF.  Very eye opening experience.  I am sitting here in a fuck-ton of pain and can only think how fewer injuries would occur if more people worked on that

Chinese accupuncture is mystical bullshit - like all alternative medicine

But there is a sports medicine version that specifically hits the nerves as they travel down your forearm - so it's science based

You can't feel the pins - they are literally as thin as hairs - so there is ZERO pain - honestly and that's not being tough - you literally can't feel them if you look away

When they pull the pins, the pain is gone for multiple days - like you've had a local anaesthetic

Rinse and repeat
