Good for you Like I said it’s a good lift. It shows everything is working together and you don’t have any injuries. Honestly my lower back is jacked after every squat and deadlift session but whatever I still do them.
You know I did get a trap bar and now it is inside. I will be using it a lot in the coming decades. However pulling a heavy deadlift is not my primary goal. I do plan to get more into deadlifts but not going to be able to do them for a while post surgery.
Honestly going too heavy to the point your form looks like MattC is not advise able if you ask me I saw that shit and said fuck it he can have the deadlift record no desire to try and fold my back.
Maybe a single at 80% for shuts and giggles but don’t think I ever want to try and max that lift sets of 5-10 for me is plenty
Hell even squatting I am doing 20 reps a set these days no need to take those movements super heavy too much can go wrong not needed for growth. Higher reps will work fine for squats and deadlifts
