Regarding squats, and not commenting on bhanks specifically, one basic way of fixing GM looking squats, as well as problems hitting depth, is of course elevating the heels. If I'm not mistaken most raw powerlifters today use Olympic squat shoes. Before squat suits there were some very ugly squatters, even champions. Even today some aren't very beautiful. When suits came in vogue squat shoes were used so you could remain more upright and take advantage of the suit and most squatted high bar. And now with raw most squat pretty high bar I think because it's too hard to hit depth otherwise. Not everyone can or maybe even shouldn't try, squatting like a champion Olympic lifter because the they don't have the structure for it. Obviously many taller guys especially have problems staying upright. I'm not saying you shouldn't demand proper depth if someone claims they are doing full squats though. I trained with an elite PLer for 15 years and he always had to do this ugly pelvic tilt, "butt wink", at the bottom to hit depth when raw, no way to keep back straight.
