honestly i'd be impressed to see someone get 135 for 112. just the thought of doing the movement 112 times makes me tired, let alone doing it with any appreciable weight.

I agree, this is just a reponse to TA's claim.

So if I posted me pulling 600 off the floor for a double with straps, that would be considered impressive?

yeah. i got 20 myself but then i'd never be mistaken for a bodybuilder. when you weigh 255 pounds that kind of thing is almost expected. but considering i almost never bench over 3-5 reps i'm not too ashamed of it.

but deadlift? damn. i can honestly bench 225 as well as i can squat it because the extended ROM just makes me tired as hell even if my squat max is way higher than my bench. that kind of high reps on the dead would just be nutso.

darth: i'd say it would, yeah.

I'm not trying to brag, I mean I weigh 250+, but I can pull 600 for a double.

Adonis told me he did rest a few seconds between reps or something of that nature.

You had your chance to embarass the guy. You blew it, get off his nuts and move along. You're not going to bring any glory to yourself by embarassing yourself AGAIN when you try to do this.

Feel free to get off my nuts.  And this is not to embarrass him, it's trying to see if anyone can do this asspipe.

I'm on your nuts? You're still fawning over the guy 2 months after he ran you off this board. I'm still laughing about the fact it took you 2+ months to sack up and come back on this site.

The pause at the top should be at a set rep.  Like 25, 50, 75, 100

Keith- were you a strong puller? Can you report any feats that might compare to this?

I think most strong deadlifters can do at least half of TA's amounts with straps.

I did 20 for a warmup set with straps.  I'm sure if I had pushed things I could have done more, but I doubt more than 25-30.  To put things into perspective my max deadlift was 460 with straps and a belt, or chalk and a belt.  Probably not right now after my layoff though.

I have done just a tiny bit more than that (470x2) and if I remember I will give 225 an earnest go tonight.  I see my lower back (form) and my cardiovascular ability being the problem

I stiff-legged deadlifted 405 x 18 the other day after my concentric good mornings. Does that count?

I weigh 25olb, I tried it today, got 48 reps, no straps or belt, full reps. Had to stop as my nose started bleeding and I felt like I would pass out.  I call bullshit on TA doing 113.  My no strap max is 545 for 3 reps. WHo knows??

Why not have a competition who can deadlift 225 for the most reps.

I`ll even give it a go.

We can post it up on youtube and maybe the winner can get something.

I`m 175pounds and I could hit about 20-25

Pretty shit I know but just being honest

MattC darth muscle any thoughts?

LOL wasn't true adonis claiming to be 'collaborating' on an anti-gravity suit a while ago?
