hahahahahah! The 205 division is a little different than the HW. Outside of Randy and Big Nog, that division is an absolutely sham. I can't think of one person that has more than a puncher's chance of beating him. Nog is the only person I think that legitimately stands a chance of beating him, but that wouldn't be unheard of as they've had two legendary brawls.

Ol' Chucky needs to put down the cane is what his problem is. He's gotten complacent in his old age. I wouldn't even put him near the top 5 right now.

don't get me wrong,I won't bet against fedor against anyone .....

just saying I won't be all that surprised

I wouldn't either. That's the greatest thing about MMA though. Upsets happen. It's not boxing where you see the champ matched up against a bunch of clowns for most of his title defenses, with the one big fight thrown in. Every event usually sees one "Can't believe that happened" type of upset. Fujita almost KO'd Fedor, but I just don't see it happening in the UFC. The talent level of the HW division is pathetic.

And while others seem to have problems without taking steroids and fighting in the US, no one really suspects Fedor to be using gear. Not to mention he has NEVER come into a fight out of shape and I suspect the cage would benefit him and his fighting style greatly.

exactly

the parity in MMA is'nt always due to skill level being the same....it's that fact that ya make ONE mistake and the fight can be over,in boxing you can make alot more mistakes and get away with it during the course of the fight

Exactly. That's why I argue the UFC vs Pride thing. Shogun had one fight, give the guy a break. He spent his entire career fighting in a roped ring. Let's see how he is after 2 or 3 fights. CroCop is just tired of fighting. He's been talking retirement longer than he's been in the UFC.

I suspect when guys like Arona, Soko, Filho and the other superstars end up here eventually, then it would be more understanding to start the talks.

And apparently Shogun isn't fighting on Wandy's team anymore, which I didn't know, so there's also the possibility that his new coaches just aren't that good.

I'll make it short. Shogun gassed after 1 round when he has no trouble going the opening 10 mins in Pride, did nothing worthwhile and looked like he started training for the fight 2 days ago. Hopefully he doesn't CroCop it and actually puts some effort into showing up for a fight. I'm willing to bet he was cocky like he is and figured Forrest would just roll over and die for him.

see that's where I think fedor might be different and not be at home, fedors game is the take down and working in the gaurd mostly....the cage just offers too many ways around that for whoever he's in there with and randy's about as smart as the come....I think he'll use that whole cage against him
