Training, diet, genetics, drugs, recovery - all are needed.
Some people think they train hard, they don't. Some don't need to and still blow up anyways, good receptors.

If you want to gain weight, eat like you are that size you want to be (small steps), train hard, and recover/sleep properly.

Example - You weigh 200 pounds, but want to be 210, figure out maintenance calories for a 210 pounder, for your lifestyle/activity level and add them (calories) in.
Even if it takes you a year, and put on a little fat, so what, youre not going to be "Mr. O" or "Mr. Thong-Oil", etc.

For those twinks who like their abs and 30 inch waists, that is also good, stay healthy.

You want to get stronger w/out injury, do a progression and build up over time, not like the 'black cat-arched back' deadlifters of JewTube.
(5/3/1, German load progression, etc).

The stuff is very easy, modern day nimrods on Instagram and YouTube act like they invented this stuff. Bizarre...

You know whats odd. Jason Blaha did a video while ago saying- and coming from Blaha- we really dont know if its really true-, but he said there was an actual clinical study performed at a very respectable University a few years ago that somehow proved that Males taking 250 Mgs of test a week, without going to the gym and having a poor diet made more gains in the same amount of time, while guys that were training hard, eating a moderate protein diet and proper rest. If im not mistaken, the guys were doing Pushups and maybe park training or not outdoor training. Testosterone is almost a miracle...

I think they gained 8 to 10 pounds of muscle during a 6 month study, something like that.  Blaha has thousands of videos, will be hard to find that on this channel now

This is about the way I do it either when I prep someone for a show with the exception of I'll take their daily caloric intake THEN use that number to break it down to macros but the macros HAVE to coincide with that person's body type and then I'll write out precisely what that person needs to eat. This is (and maybe I misunderstood him) the disagreement I have with Trigili when he said that "calories don't matter that it's all in the macros, it doesn't matter if you're taking in 10k per day" this is backward thinking when you're coming down for a show.

Now, for the average person, it's almost the same way with the exception that I give a food selection from a menu that they can choose what they want to eat and see that most have busy schedules, the "rules" are looser and not regimented to a certain feeding time and is normalized to fit THEIR schedule. This is the way we do it with some 250+ online clients not including my prep clients.

I think in the 90s they used to charge a loot of money, according do Ameen . Nowadays famous coachs start at 300 a month or so..
