We know a cheat curl is easier, using body momentum. The debate is strict against wall or free standing.
I assumed against the wall is harder but to bring in no kind of thrusting or momentum it would make sense piundage actually drops to make it as strict as possible free standing.
Genuinely interested, i don't want to 1 rep max my biceps so please do a vid showing your 150lb curl free standing and against the wall

Again it’s not my job to explain how a strict curl is harder than a cheat curl anyone of you could simply try it and find out  it instead let’s argue about something none of you apparently have tried for 20 pages and I can rep 155lbs that is not going to be a heavy press for me but regardless you will all claim  my lift isn’t perfect no matter what I do

You can stand against the wall but then film videos with baggy pants to cover using the hip power to cheat the weight up and then call that a strict curl.

There is no such thing as a standing strict curl by definition a strict curl is against the wall now obviously you can do a curl standing and try not to use any momentum and stay as upright as possible but it still isn’t a strict curl your body will absolutely find a way to cheat which is why by definition it is a cheat curl without the wall. I am not just posting random lifts by getbig challenge if you think it is harder to do without a wall by all means try it and find out it’s a lot easier

I keep my knees locked and legs straight as per the rules. I was also in shorts my last video. I work out in my basement and it’s January it gets cold. Again I have only posted good lifts. If you don’t understand what a strict curl is that’s not my fault. By all means educate yourself. My 156.5 is certified from a meet. I have another meet March 4th with 3 referees judging the lift. I am sure they will make sure I don’t use my legs or hips. I am also lifting with the guy in 2 weeks that holds the current world record in 3 different organizations as well as the current Arnold and Mr America Champion I am sure he will let me know if my form needs adjustment but so far he agreed my last lift was a good lift and I am going to take his word over getbig.

0 I am paying him 0 because he isn’t really my coach. He is the world champion though and he likes to train with me and is giving me some advice. Last time I asked him to train this time he asked me. So yeah I am going to pay attention to what he says. And yes I am going to give him some credit for helping “Coach” me but I am not paying him. I didn’t hire him he has no obligation to give me any advice at all. I am not following a program he made for me I am just using a modified version of one he had on his wall. Maybe as the event gets closer I will ask him to write something up for me maybe not. But I didn’t hire anyone. I do still feel I know my body best but absolutely I am going to listen when the world champion shares what he has found to work for him. He didn’t charge anyone for the strict curl seminar and probably gives 100 people free advice because he is a nice guy. But yeah absolutely a great resource he has lots of free training videos on YouTube you can go watch them yourself for free

Here you go all the free strict curl training videos you could ever want I haven’t even watched them myself they do chains seated curls and all kinds of stuff. I may get some chains next but right now I am just happy having 2 different bars and some incremental plates. Not sure if there is a chain video but went over them in person last Time

Take away from this Brian is this : you could learn a few things from this guy beyond the training.  Then again, that won't register for you.

Honestly my lifts are pathetic in comparison. Not impressive at all. You want to see something impressive? You want to see something insane? This is insane dude is under 200lbs looks like a normal guy and he is going to unofficially break the world record at our practice in 2 weeks I know it. He is off the charts with these lifts


So yeah I am going to take my curling advice from the guy doing world record body weight curls in practice

It is my arm training better arms better physique. You guys said my one arm was behind it has improved the last few months from heavy arm training twice a week. For some reason these idiots want to argue about it. Today is actually leg day.

I have actually been training legs twice a week as well since I got back from snowboarding but no one seems to notice or want to argue about that. The more I train the stronger I get the better my physique looks not that complicated

If you think I can’t do a standing barbell curl with 150lbs then you clearly don’t understand mechanics and physics it is absolutely more difficult with a wall behind you everyone who has ever done both knows that but instead of trying it and finding out for yourself you just want to argue for 50 pages from a place of ignorance.

Again the Strict curl is clearly defined by multiple powerlifting organizations including USPA they even have contest and events and recognized world records and guess what it always involves a wall behind you doing a cheat curl in a strict manner doesn’t make it a strict curl. I didn’t make the definitions or the rules you are welcome to look them up. But you just keep arguing that a clearly defined lift isn’t real and that you know a different more proper Wes definition like a fucking moron.
