That the one other big thing I did consider hiring a prep coach for next year. If I get someone that is coaching other classic guys I can just listen to him on food the last few days instead if adjusting when my brain is depleted and not working. I love Emily but she isn’t exactly a coach and I think I need someone in my corner to help with that as second guessing myself last minute isn’t helpful. I didn’t account for all catabolic the stress at the end and I went to far and got too depleted I still think I looked good and would have been top 2 but I think with a coach I might do better.
A lot of the guys I asked questions didn’t seem to know anything and just said they do whatever their coach tells them
Real talk (I know I tend to joke around a lot, maybe every single time I post these days, but this time I'm being serious)...
If you want some of the best contest instruction, hire Wes and/or Joswift. Wes might seem like a firecracker at times, but the man knows his stuff (not just training, but hormone use). Joswift might seem like an incredibly smart and arrogant troll, but the guy is another master of contest prep (training and hormones) and he is also quite the master poser on stage.
There are actual IFBB pros here that you can ask for guidance from (not hire), I know maybe you burned the bridge with "muscle matters", but I know of about 5-6 others that parade around under normal accounts with no special stars or anything (they just like trolling for fun).
Give what I wrote here some thought. If you're truly serious about competing once more, get with someone that knows how to properly prep for these contests and who has a known track record.
All the best,
