i was watching was of Fedor's fights and an announcer said Fedor
could out box Mike Tyson when mike was in his prime. or something
along those lines.

The only person who could beat Tyson in a stand up boxing match when tyson was in his prime. Is, Was< and ALWAYS WILL BE TYSON AND ONLY TYSON...... IMO

i agree completly, in a street fight tyson could get kicked, taken to the ground, etc.... and the man has never trained for that. But on the same hand i think tyson might win in a street fight, for one simple reason it's a street fight how you think fedor would handle having his whole ear or nose or face bit off. Like i said NO ONE COULD BEAT TYSON IN HIS PRIME BUT HIMSELF.... tyson was the youngest man ever crowned heavy weight champion of the world..AT 20....He was the undisputed world champ at 21.... He defeated an undefeated ex-champion Michael Spinks in 91 seconds... he followed 2 fights later with a 93-second rout of Carl "The Truth" Williams. this is just a little of his good points TYSON was probally one of the best if not the best heavyweights of all time.

ive said it before, if you took ALL the greatest HW boxers at their absolute prime and fought them off, Tyson would walk out as the best with a swagger. Nobody could touch him, nobody has ever had his power/skill combination and blended it so well with his aggression

It's about the best fighter, and that means you need more than boxing skills alone. I agree, Tyson was a beast in his prime, and not easy to beat in a street fight. But, a skilled fighter, trained in (Brazilian) Jiu Jitsu, or Krav Maga etcetera, must be able to beat him.

I bet the absolute best fighter at this very moment is somebody, unknown to the crowd, no.

what do you base this on he never beat a top fighter that will be remembered for many years

tyson did well during a weak era almost as bad as today's era

I totally agree,

Mike Tyson's so called "prime", is basically him looking good against chumps. The only "names" he beat in his prime were, Larry holmes ( Holmes was past his prime and pushing 40 years old) and Michael Spinks ( a blown up light heavyweight, that like Tyson, did alright in a nearly dead division)

Ike Ibeabuchi is like the Tyson of the late 90's, except he could take a punch, that guy could have been something.

Good call on Ike. Too bad he had to rape that stripper in Vegas and go insane. His fight with David Tua was a real classic.

You guys know anythng about Mike. He grew up beating up people and getting in fights everyday on the streets till Gus took him in. He is a "true" streetfighter. Now saying that, I don't think he would beat some guys in the Octagon but he does have street savvy. And to tell you the truth he is a scapper and getting him on the ground could be harder than you think, but once he is there he would be done.
