Jumping with weight is a great power exercise. I think you have to use light weights so it reduces the chances of injury but increase intensity by jumping with all you got. I couldn't see using anything other than light weights jumping with a barbell or dumbbell. If I wanted to use heavy weights I would use a power clean or a snatch for a power developing exercise.

At 205lbs I am shredded. Right now I am 220lbs and lean. Again though at any weight your stomach will expand during the day due to eating and drinking and the digestion process.
