i cant see actully bragging on any deadlift under 600 pounds no matter what you weigh, i mean its a deadlift, youre using every muscle in your body to lift it but hey thats just my opinion.

I use straps and I don't have such problems. Did 190x3 in deadlift both with and without them. But with straps it's so much more comfortable so I use them instead. And it's healthier, coz I don't use mixed grip.
For 89kg? 300kg is impressive. I can do about 210-215kg at 73kg. This isn't impressive yet, 250kg would be and that's my goal.

imo. It depends on how much you have improved for example that year or coming back from an injury. 200kg in not very common imo. Ofc it depends on your gyms and buddies

I thought you weighted 75kg like I do :P.... I'm not too far from 200kg. This summer i could deadlift 170kg for 10 reps, no belt or straps and I weighted 75kg. Obviously I can't do it now but I did 140kgx20 this friday. then 13 reps, then 10 reps, then 7 reps. I weighted 73kg...
but 200kg is 200kg... it's impressive. I just don't whanna talk about my bench press, ever... EVER! FUCK YOU ALL!

Walking with the weight isn't a problem obviously, he walked quite easily and I didn't notice any stumbling that indicated he was having trouble.
First though, don't spend so much time bent over like that, taxing the hams and lower back in that position, kneel down and wrap your straps if you insist on using them.
Second that jerk you do at the beginning is going to fuck your back.
Third start doing rack pulls from just below the knee, its obvious from your lift that from the ground to knee level you are strong but you struggle above the knee. Rack pulls will help this.
Fourth.........lose the fuckin straps!!!!1 ;D
As far as whats impressive, depends on alot of factors, I know a guy that did 1000# rack pull with straps, thats impressive, I think he got 900 from the floor, also with straps, impressive. But a 450 dead should be doable without straps for most men, especially since its a max pull and not for reps.

It is harder the way your doing it because your not recruiting the most powerful leg muscles into the start. The cahleenge will be mental for you as you need to retrain the neural pathways. You may have to lighten up to get the form but youll quickly gain huge strength and surpass this weight easily. 8)

Theres a difference between strapping in for reps and max effort, I know it means nothing to steroid abusers like yourself, and in the future ironneck, but reality is pulling with straps is much easier. Not shitting on his effort, just trying to guide him in the right direction and unless he is training strongman(lift heavy shit regardless of form) then he's not doing it right and he would be wise to take the criticism and turn it into a properly executed deadlift.

Open your grip just a tiny bit so you can get your legs between your arms comfortably, keep your ass low, head up, bar very close to your shins so that when you start the move the bar actually touches them, and drive through your heels, pulling back, not straight up.

Pull a bench between your legs and sit on it when you squat. Youtube it for proper form. You need leg drive to deadlift, squatting will help with that.

Chalk keeps your hands dry so you can hold the bar better, straps hold the bar in your hand, totally different, use chalk if you can.

Sounds like a genetic issue with the fat in your ass.
Everyone has their strong lifts and their weak lifts, your bench is kinda low, but there could be aot of factors. I didn't bench for a real long time, now trying to bring up my bench is killing me compared to my dead and squat.

I find for deads I don't like to do a lot of reps, maybe six at the most on my working sets. For squats I prefer to do 12-20.

Yes I go by this same rule. Never understood the "well I am strong enough to do this my grip is just too weak" rationale. If you can't perform the lift without assistance then you aren't strong enough to be using that weight.

I'm at a loss for words whats that 440? decent pull I guess but anyone that trains the deadlift for any decent amount of time even if drug free can pull 450 plus. If you go to a prison nearly all the serious lifters of anysize can pull 400 plus drug free and shit diet. The deadlift should be a lot easier then a lot of you guys are making it baring you have bad leverages for the lift. It dont take special training to deadlift 2.5 times your weight other then deadlifting.

Oh shit I duno....at my "best" for leanness I was between 215-220 and pretty f'ing lean, "lived" the bbing lifestyle, but even at 220 I look like a stick, my joints and bone structure are huge so while I was ripped I looked sickly, if that makes sense. Once I realized what it took to get to the next level as far as size and leanness I started focusing on strength, the last year I've really gotten a new fire and been focusing on strongman and strength and early next year I am going to try out Highland games. Should be an exciting year for chaos. 8)

A natural pulling 2.5 BW (and more) is easily done by most naturals. It's no big deal.
You should be able to pull 700+ if you weigh in excess of 280lbs.

I find for deads I don't like to do a lot of reps, maybe six at the most on my working sets. For squats I prefer to do 12-20.

Don't get me wrong I am by no means putting a limit on myself but to say naturals should be lifting 2.5bw on any lift like its a common practice is kinda lame.

you should be able to get 2.5x pretty easily if your into lifting imo..
at 70kg i did 165kg not exactly 2.5x bw but I'm WEAK at deadlifting. You need to loose some weight lol :)

you have never seen anyone pull 2.5x bw that isn't juiced? ??? I had a friend that weighed 80 that pulled 200 when he was 18. didnt even look like he liften, and wasn't on aas thats for sure lol
if you're on aas and into lifitng heavy you should rep 2.5x bw... if not, lose weight

for example when coleman was deadlifting the 800lbs for 2 reps, I thoght it was strange how he was on the squating positiong for over a minute putting on the straps, and stayed on that position for another minute after that before he finally lifted it.
Me I have to walk around a little and focuse, then go near the bar, position my feet, and then ass down, head up and lift, that's how you should deadlift.
Ironneck got it up and it was a strong lift, I'm not taking away that but it was not a clean lift, is all.

I guess I'm just blessed. My gym costs 40 euros a month and it's open 24/7, I can put my own music on the stereos, sometimes people GRRR sometimes not, but you can be prety freely there.
Actually makes me want to video my deadlift now this friday lol :P , but maby it's better if i jsut add it up in this thread ;D

I meant to be considered TRUELY strong in the deadlift, then a 3 x BW lift is required. It's just my opinion.
I'm not very strong but can pull 2.7 x BW.....so for those truely strong guys, they will be pulling 3 x BW.
