You have to remember though, there are two main types of delusion:
1. Those that are shredded, but super small and think just because they are shredded they are huge when in reality they are tiny, weak twinks for lack of a better term. No carbs all the time=No strength all the time.
2. Those that are fatter than hell and think because the scale shows them at 250+ and they have 20" fat arms think they are huge.
No, I'm not saying you're #2 as I have not seen how strong you actually are or how much bodyfat you really have. Just making a point.

But foods containing fiber can provide other health benefits as well, such as helping to maintain a healthy weight and lowering your risk of diabetes and heart disease.
Selecting tasty foods that provide fiber isn't difficult. Find out how much dietary fiber you need, the foods that contain it, and how to add them to meals and snacks.
What is dietary fiber?
Dietary fiber, also known as roughage or bulk, includes all parts of plant foods that your body can't digest or absorb. Unlike other food components, such as fats, proteins or carbohydrates — which your body breaks down and absorbs — fiber isn't digested by your body. Instead, it passes relatively intact through your stomach, small intestine, colon and out of your body.
Fiber is commonly classified as soluble (it dissolves in water) or insoluble (it doesn't dissolve):
Soluble fiber. This type of fiber dissolves in water to form a gel-like material. It can help lower blood cholesterol and glucose levels. Soluble fiber is found in oats, peas, beans, apples, citrus fruits, carrots, barley and psyllium.
Insoluble fiber. This type of fiber promotes the movement of material through your digestive system and increases stool bulk, so it can be of benefit to those who struggle with constipation or irregular stools. Whole-wheat flour, wheat bran, nuts, beans and vegetables, such as cauliflower, green beans and potatoes, are good sources of insoluble fiber.
Most plant-based foods, such as oatmeal and beans, contain both soluble and insoluble fiber. However, the amount of each type varies in different plant foods. To receive the greatest health benefit, eat a wide variety of high-fiber foods.
Benefits of a high-fiber diet
A high-fiber diet has many benefits, which include:
Normalizes bowel movements. Dietary fiber increases the weight and size of your stool and softens it. A bulky stool is easier to pass, decreasing your chance of constipation. If you have loose, watery stools, fiber may also help to solidify the stool because it absorbs water and adds bulk to stool.
Helps maintain bowel health. A high-fiber diet may lower your risk of developing hemorrhoids and small pouches in your colon (diverticular disease). Some fiber is fermented in the colon. Researchers are looking at how this may play a role in preventing diseases of the colon.
Lowers cholesterol levels. Soluble fiber found in beans, oats, flaxseed and oat bran may help lower total blood cholesterol levels by lowering low-density lipoprotein, or "bad," cholesterol levels. Studies also have shown that fiber may have other heart-health benefits, such as reducing blood pressure and inflammation.
Helps control blood sugar levels. In people with diabetes, fiber — particularly soluble fiber — can slow the absorption of sugar and help improve blood sugar levels. A healthy diet that includes insoluble fiber may also reduce the risk of developing type 2 diabetes.
Aids in achieving healthy weight. High-fiber foods generally require more chewing time, which gives your body time to register when you're no longer hungry, so you're less likely to overeat. Also, a high-fiber diet tends to make a meal feel larger and linger longer, so you stay full for a greater amount of time. And high-fiber diets also tend to be less "energy dense," which means they have fewer calories for the same volume of food.
Another benefit attributed to dietary fiber is prevention of colorectal cancer. However, the evidence that fiber reduces colorectal cancer is mixed.
How much fiber do you need?
How much fiber do you need each day? The Institute of Medicine, which provides science-based advice on matters of medicine and health, gives the following daily recommendations for adults:
Age 50 or younger Age 51 or older
Men 38 grams 30 grams
Women 25 grams 21 grams

Your best fiber choices
If you aren't getting enough fiber each day, you may need to boost your intake. Good choices include:
Whole-grain products
Fruits
Vegetables
Beans, peas and other legumes
Nuts and seeds
Refined or processed foods — such as canned fruits and vegetables, pulp-free juices, white breads and pastas, and non-whole-grain cereals — are lower in fiber. The grain-refining process removes the outer coat (bran) from the grain, which lowers its fiber content. Similarly, removing the skin from fruits and vegetables decreases their fiber content.
Fiber supplements and fortified foods
Whole foods rather than fiber supplements are generally better. Fiber supplements — such as Metamucil, Citrucel and FiberCon — don't provide the variety of fibers, vitamins, minerals and other beneficial nutrients that foods do.
However, some people may still need a fiber supplement if dietary changes aren't sufficient or if they have certain medical conditions, such as constipation, diarrhea or irritable bowel syndrome. Always check with your doctor if you feel you need to take fiber supplements.
Fiber is also added to some foods. However, it's not yet clear if added fiber provides the same health benefits as naturally occurring sources.
Tips for fitting in fiber
Need ideas for adding more fiber to your meals and snacks? Try these suggestions:
Jump-start your day. For breakfast choose a high-fiber breakfast cereal — 5 or more grams of fiber a serving. Opt for cereals with "whole grain," "bran" or "fiber" in the name. Or add a few tablespoons of unprocessed wheat bran to your favorite cereal.
Switch to whole grains. Consume at least half of all grains as whole grains. Look for breads that list whole wheat, whole-wheat flour or another whole grain as the first ingredient on the label. Look for a brand with at least 2 grams of dietary fiber a serving. Experiment with brown rice, wild rice, barley, whole-wheat pasta and bulgur.
Bulk up your baked goods. Substitute whole-grain flour for half or all of the white flour when baking. Whole-grain flour is heavier than white flour. In yeast breads, use a bit more yeast or let the dough rise longer. When using baking powder, increase it by 1 teaspoon for every 3 cups of whole-grain flour. Try adding crushed bran cereal, unprocessed wheat bran or uncooked oatmeal to muffins, cakes and cookies.
Mix it up. Add pre-cut fresh or frozen vegetables to soups and sauces. For example, mix chopped frozen broccoli into prepared spaghetti sauce or toss fresh baby carrots into stews.
Get a leg up with legumes. Beans, peas and lentils are excellent sources of fiber. Add kidney beans to canned soup or a green salad. Or make nachos with refried black beans, lots of fresh veggies, whole-wheat tortilla chips and salsa.
Eat fruit at every meal. Apples, bananas, oranges, pears and berries are good sources of fiber.
Make snacks count. Fresh fruits, raw vegetables, low-fat popcorn and whole-grain crackers are all good choices. An occasional handful of nuts or dried fruits also is a healthy, high-fiber snack — although be aware that nuts and dried fruits are high in calories.
High-fiber foods are good for your health. But adding too much fiber too quickly can promote intestinal gas, abdominal bloating and cramping. Increase fiber in your diet gradually over a period of a few weeks. This allows the natural bacteria in your digestive system to adjust to the change.
Also, drink plenty of water. Fiber works best when it absorbs water, making your stool soft and bulky.

You can't get someone's waist size and height and determine bf%. In no way shape or form. Too many other factors in play.

I am also a fan of dieting keto of sorts .. it takes a lot of tweaking and mistakes and cheating to "get it". I have to thank Disgusted for his expertise. He knows his stuff through and through.

They function perfectly fine as I do daily. I suggest you do some basic reading on how the digestive process works. I will add this, if one does not eat much fat then you will get constipated, but fat is your friend. I would suggest an 80/20 ratio for a healthy diet.

Post your diet....a typical day.
2 to 3 meals daily. Bacon eggs not much red meat as I get older chicken turkey some peanut butter green veggies when I feel I am particularly fond of asparagus. On occasion I while blend up some kale blueberries strawberries in water with my nutribullet. I also eat cheese but not much and most of my food is organic when possible. Once a week I will cheat and eat some chocolate or some like that.

I love eating a big English breakfast with beans on the side but my wife and everyone at home hates me. I've actually got a fuck ton of fiber supplements that I've just been too lazy to eat. But I'll start making a conscious effort to eat foods naturally high in fiber too. Nothing feels better than dropping a world class turd and feeling proud of yourself.

Anyway, if you truly believe that we don't need fiber in our diets, can you provide some documentation to support that? I goes against what every dietician suggest is healthy. I don't usually take diet advice from muscle-heads because they rarely know what they are talking about. My reasoning is that there appears to be a disproportionate number of huge bodybuilders who die young from heart, liver and kidney failure.

Do you want to know why dietitians suggest fibre? because it helps, I suggest it to, but it is not needed, you can go years with out it and there will be no repercussion, maybe just a bit of constipation, you need to open your eyes and learn how to read, myself and disgusted never said it was not good for you, we simply stated that is not essential and the body does not require it.
In fact I stay away from all fibre when I diet because I increase my omega 3 fats and it helps twice as much as any dietary fibre, a far better alternative for your digestive system.
BTW I train people and prep them for bodybuilding contests, bodybuilders, physique competitors, figure girls and bikini girls and I have a lot of experience with trial and error. What i have found is when someone is taking plenty of healthy fats on a low carb diet, fibre is simply not needed and many preffer to go without it.

Let's set the stage here. I am 68 years old. People my age tend to carry a bit more fat and a bit less muscle. I don't like this one bit. I eat to be lean and healthy. I exercise more then most folks my age. Genetically, I am predisposed to being very thin. The end result is that if I were at your bodyfat levels, I would probably be dying. I'd rather be a little less cut and be alive....just saying.

My answers are:
I eat a balance of healthful foods and food that taste good, while trying to keep in mind nutritional needs.
What is healthy for me to eat at my age, may not be the same for someone younger.
In terms of preparation, I try and substitute healthy fats whenever possible and I attempt to watch my sodium intake, so I do not over salt foods in preparation. Also in terms of preparation, I try to eat foods which are not processed whenever possible. Even when I cook vegetables, I cook them as little as possible, often just steaming them.
Some flavorings are actually beneficial. Herbs are normally a good way to flavor foods, for example. Cinnamon and spicy peppers are considered to be healthy to eat. The bottom line is that there are spices which enhance the flavor of prepared foods and there are some ingredients which adulterate foods in a negative sense, such as salt, sugar and fats. The closer a prepared food is to its natural state, the healthier it is.
Chicken is not all it is cracked up to be, Much of the chicken we buy at the grocery store has been enhanced with growth hormones. I have not read a study which suggests these hormones die with the animal. In my opinion, most people don't need to eat foods which have been genetically altered with hormones.
Dairy is my downfall. I love loads of butter on baked potatoes. I also crave cheese which is very high in dairy fat. Don't even talk to me about homemade Hollandaise sauce on eggs, because anyone who has ever made it, knows that it is a huge fat overload.
We are no longer primitive creatures, scavenging for food for survival. We are sophisticated, evolved human beings who have very indulgent appetites for foods which are not always as healthful as the foods of our forefathers. Moreover, few of us spend the day using up calories and building muscle to hunt and gather food for sustenance. We are pretenders who hope to become unnaturally muscular via the intake of special (often unhealthy) diets and chemicals.

Marine looks good. He can afford to eat a little more and has no risk of putting on adipose tissue. Anyone who's been lean for a long time knows how forgiving a shredded body is. It'll tear right through a few hundred extra calories each day with EASE. Would need to eat a good amount of shit to blur any of his definition. I'm envious. I've dieted down to around the same leanness but I have zero control over my eating right now. My eating is as erratic as a pregnant woman's eating patterns right now.

When I dieted for my first show I was kind of following the Vince Gironda contest diet principles which happen to be low to zero carb. I ate like this almost always for years. Turns out this just happened to be the way people should be eating to maintain good health. About 5 years ago I had an EBT scan to check the calcium levels in my arteries. I'll be honest that I was a little nervous because of all the hoopla about cholesterol and red meat consumption which through out the years I had plenty of. Anyway, I got my test results back the same day and I scored a zero meaning I had zero plaque build up in all arteries. I have done literally hundreds of hours of research on the subject and for me I have decided to stick with the way I have always eaten.

Not going to read it. At this point I would call it an old wives tale. Cholesterol causes plaque saturated fats clogging arteries blah blah. High sugar diets cause inflammation of the endothelial lining of the arteries which in turn cause heart disease. Most doctors who are up on the info will agree. Why would a new study be a old wives tale? There's no way you had your TMAO(trimethylamine-N-oxide) levels in your blood tested.
Gut Bacteria Implicated In Heart Attacks, Stroke

NEW YORK, April 24 (Reuters) - Thousands of heart attack victims every year have none of the notorious risk factors before their crisis - not high cholesterol, not unhealthy triglycerides. Now the search for the mystery culprits has turned up some surprising suspects: the trillions of bacteria and other microbes living in the human gut.
In a study released on Wednesday, scientists discovered that some of the bugs turn lecithin - a nutrient in egg yolks, liver, beef, pork and wheat germ - into an artery-clogging compound called TMAO. They also found that blood levels of TMAO predict heart attack, stroke or death, and do so "independent of other risk factors," said Dr Stanley Hazen, chairman of cellular and molecular medicine at the Cleveland Clinic's Lerner Research Institute, who led the study.
That suggests a TMAO test could enter the arsenal of blood tests that signal possible cardiovascular problems ahead. "TMAO might identify people who are at risk (for heart attacks and strokes) despite having no other risk factors," Hazen said.
The discovery also suggests a new approach to preventing these cardiovascular events: altering gut bacteria so they churn out less TMAO.
The study joins a growing list of findings that link human "microbiota" - microbes in the gut, nose and genital tract, and on the skin - to health and disease. Research has shown that certain species of gut bacteria protect against asthma, for instance, while others affect the risk of obesity. Last week scientists reported that circumcision alters bacteria in the penis, and that this change (not only the anatomical one) helps protect men from HIV/AIDS, probably by reducing the number of bacteria that live in oxygen-free environments such as under the foreskin.
"It's very strong work," Dr Martin Blaser of New York University Langone Medical Center, a pioneer in studies of the microbiota, said of the TMAO study. "They show clearly that human microbiota play a key role in producing TMAO, suggesting new approaches to prevention and treatment" of cardiovascular disease.
NORMAL CHOLESTEROL, FATAL HEART ATTACK
The new study builds on a 2011 discovery by the Cleveland Clinic team that, in lab mice, gut bacteria turn lecithin in food into TMAO, or trimethylamine-N-oxide, causing heart disease. In addition, they found, people with high levels of TMAO are more likely to have heart disease.
But that research left two questions hanging: Do human gut bacteria trigger the lecithin-to-TMAO alchemy, like those in mice? And do high levels of TMAO predict heart attacks and stroke in people many years out, not simply mark the presence of cardiovascular disease at the time of the blood test?
To answer the first question, Hazen and his colleagues had 40 healthy adults eat two hard-boiled eggs, which contain lots of lecithin. Just as in lab mice, TMAO levels in the blood rose. After a week of broad-spectrum antibiotics, however, the volunteers' TMAO levels barely budged after they ate eggs, the researchers reported in the New England Journal of Medicine.
"That showed that the intestinal bacteria (which antibiotics kill) are essential for forming TMAO," said Hazen.
Next, to see whether TMAO predicts cardiovascular events, the researchers measured its levels in 4,007 heart patients. After accounting for such risk factors as age and a past heart attack, they found that high levels of TMAO were predictive of heart attack, stroke and death over the three years that the patients were followed.
Moreover, TMAO predicted risk more accurately than triglyceride or cholesterol levels, Hazen said. And it did so in people without substantial coronary artery disease or dangerous lipid levels as well as in sicker patients.
Specifically, people in the top 25 percent of TMAO levels had 2.5 times the risk of a heart attack or stroke compared to people in the bottom quartile.
The reason TMAO is so potent is that it makes blood cholesterol build up on artery walls, causing atherosclerosis (hardening of the arteries) and, if the buildup ruptures and blocks an artery, stroke or heart attack.
Earlier this month, the Cleveland Clinic researchers reported that gut bugs also transform carnitine, a nutrient found in red meat and dairy products, into TMAO, at least in meat eaters. Vegetarians made much less TMAO even when eating carnitine as part of the study, suggesting that avoiding meat reduces the gut bacteria that turn carnitine into TMAO, while regular helpings of dead animals encourages their growth and thus the production of TMAO.
More studies are needed to show whether TMAO reliably predicts cardiovascular crises, and does so better than other blood tests. Experts disagree on how many people have no other risk factors but would be flagged by TMAO. Dr Gordon Tomaselli, chief of cardiology at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine and past president of the American Heart Association, guesses it is less than 10 percent or so of the people who eventually have heart crises.
Someone with high levels of TMAO could reduce her cardiovascular risk by eating fewer egg yolks and less beef and pork. But someone with a two-eggs-a-day habit but low TMAO probably has gut microbes that aren't very adept at converting lecithin to TMAO, meaning she can eat eggs and the like without risking a coronary.
Just as statins control unhealthy cholesterol, prebiotics (compounds that nurture "healthy" gut microbes) or probiotics (the good bugs themselves) might control unhealthy TMAO. For now, however, no one knows which prebiotics or probiotics might do that. In one study, probiotics actually increased TMAO-producing bacteria - "not what you want," Hazen said.
Neither will popping antibiotics work: bacteria become resistant to the drugs. Developing compounds that crimp the ability of the bacteria to turn lecithin into TMAO, Hazen said, is more likely to succeed. (Reporting by Sharon Begley; editing by Michelle Gershberg and Prudence Crowther)

Yoyo dieting often has disastrous outcomes, like obesity or if one goes too far anorexia.

You will get no argument from me when it comes to being a vegan or a vegetarian. When I spoke of dietary restrictions, I was not speaking about his. I suggest that the are many ways in which to enjoy a complete and well rounded diet. There are many sources for protein, the food of bodybuilders. It is even possible for one to do this being a vegan, which by today's standards is probably the most restricted way of eating. Keep in mind that being a vegetarian or a vegan is not a diet to lose weight plan, but just another approach to having a well rounded diet.
Where folks get into trouble is when they eliminate one or more aspects of nutrition. We need fats, carbohydrates, protein and fiber in our diets. This can be achieved via veganism, vegetarianism and carnivorism.
I am not an expert on diet, but the less adulterated/processed the food we consume is the healthier it is. Unfortunately, much of the food readily available for purchase in today's market place has been altered. This is true for vegetables, meats and a variety of other foods. The closer it is to picking a carrot out of the ground in you own garden, the better it is for you.
