Attorneys for George Zimmerman, the neighborhood watchman who shot and killed 17-year-old Trayvon Martin, released another round of evidence Thursday, including the teen's cellphone records and pictures.
Eight reports, totaling more than 20 pages, of Martin's cellphone records were released, including 25 pictures and videos. The evidence also includes school records and videos from the school, a handwritten letter from Witness 8, Zimmerman's medical report from Feb. 27, 2012, and pictures of Witness 25.
The photos show Martin blowing smoke and extending his middle finger to the camera. The photos also show a gun and what appears to be a potted marijuana plant.
In one of the videos of a street fight in Miami, Martin is seen in the background wearing a striped shirt.
In the text messages, Martin tells a friend that his mother has told him he needs to move out of her house and move in with his father since he was caught skipping school.
He also talks about fighting in November 2011, saying, "I lost the first round but won the second and third." The person responded back, saying, "it was three rounds, you won one lol but you need to stop fighting for real."
Local 6 legal analyst Luis Calderon says the pictures and texts could help the defense build its case."

we don't know that he was attacked. we only know he was losing the fight. there's no evidence who swung first. there is evidence that trayvon ran two blocks from the front gate as zimm said "he's running away".
zimm may be too big for the handcuffs by the time the trial arrives.

He recently waived his right to a pre-trial self-defense immunity hearing where it could have been thrown out. I don't think they wanted him potentially on the stand twice. I was vexed by this decision since it seems pretty straightforward based on FL case law alone. There is likely a distrust of the whole process and a trial is the safest route.

I'll bite here: Wasn't Zimmerdumb following a walking Trayvon from a slow moving motor vehicle mostly? If that's true then who here wouldn't feel threatened by that? You're walking though an unfamiliar (though probably generally safe-seeming) neighborhood and some minority with the ugly mug of zimmerfuck is following you in a car, wouldn't the idea some kind of possible drive-by shooting occur to you? Or isn't it reasonable to suspect that Trayvon thought the ex-con looking zimmerdouche wanted to fight him over some kind of neighborhood beef? Whether following someone is legal or not, it can easily and reasonably be considered threatening.

Zimmerman was the one who created a self defense situation, no doubt. I wouldn't hesitate if I felt threatened to take the initiative if I felt I was being followed and I was exposed to an assault. And if following someone isn't illegal, it should be. I can't think of any good reason why someone would want to follow someone else. It's obviously a provocative act. I'm pretty sure the LAW refers to it as stalking. And who's to say George Zimmerman didn't try and detain Trayvon thereby creating a confrontation. He definitely indicated he didn't want this guy to get away. he already had the cavalry on it's way, he had a gun on him, he was confident the guy was up to no good. I have no doubt George tried to detain Trayvon, and it went awry.

If you are going to put fear into other people either by stalking or acting suspicious, it is only reasonable to assume they may be out to harm you. That is the whole basis of stand your ground, if you have a reasonable fear that someone is going to harm you then you can do whatever it takes to prevent them from doing so. I find it perfectly reasonable that Georges actions caused a teenage boy to feel afraid for his well being and I wouldn't have a problem with someone taking pre-emptive action in such a circumstance. As it turned out, Trayvon had every right to fear George, he ended up being his killer. George created a threatening situation that gave someone else little choice but to react to it, the only person standing there ground was Trayvon.
Like I said, when I am out walking if someone was following me, I would find this highly suspicious, why else would someone want to follow you other than to harm you. I can't think of any good reason to follow any stranger. And the very last thing I would do if I suspected someone was up to no good is to follow them. Why on earth would anybody risk a confrontation with someone who was up to no good. Not that I believe Trayvon initiated the assault, but if someone was following me and I felt threatened, I wouldn't hesitate to assault the person. You don't get a second chance in dangerous situations to make a different choice.
The whole situation seems absurd to me, I live in a Country where the mere carrying of a weapon in public will see you locked away for a long time, let alone playing neighbourhood watchmen. Even that concept of civilian watchmen is bizarre, that's why we have a Police force. Over here, if people have any issues they ring the Police. What good can a watchmen do against serious criminals, and as this case highlights, it actually increases the potential for criminality.
And Georges reasoning for suspecting Trayvon in the first place is borderline schizophrenic. He said "It's raining and he's just walking around, looking about" and "looking at all the houses". How that translates to suspicious behaviour is beyond me, what does he expect someone to do whenever caught in the rain, start sprinting and look directly at the ground. I could think of anything more normal when walking than looking about. You have to look somewhere, and other than looking at your feet as you were walking, there would be no way Trayvon could have not been looking at the houses as he walked by them. It's more than likely George is an extremely paranoid individual, exacerbated by powerful psychiatric drugs and exposure to some recent criminal activity that led him to distort reality. George had a history of regularly ringing 911 (about 50 times apparently), and he would report children as young as 7 that were simply riding their bikes. None of Georges emergency calls ever led to the discovery of a single crime.

Unlike you, who seems to have a great deal of trouble admitting their own fear. I have no such trouble. There are most definitely things that scare me, but not having the right to own a gun isn't one of them. People don't lobby to regulate things and create laws because of fear. It's due to self preservation. If everyone is entitled to drive as fast as they want and as drunk as they want, this increases the chances of every citizen to be injured or killed. So society agree to BAN those particular behaviours. People don't live in fear of being in a car accident, they merely want to preserve their health and safety. They are simply decreasing the odds of serious injury or fatality. This is called common sense, which sadly, a lot of gun lovers lack.
What you are arguing for is an elimination of laws, an anarchy of sorts. Which I am all for, and guns in such a society would make a perfect amount of sense. But in a civilised society whereby everybody is agreeing by a particular set of rules and obligations, mass gun ownership increases ones chances of being injured or killed, so it makes more sense from a self preservation perspective to ban them or at the very least regulate them heavily. Guns make sense in a lawless society, but not in a heavily regulated one.

I never felt things weren't going my way. I don't even really know what you mean by that. I am simply stating my opinion. I have always said this is about race. It is so obvious to anyone who isn't racist it's not funny. I don't think you could get a clearer cut case of racism. But I imagine, if you are raised in racist surroundings, where racism is considered normal, and the racists are blind to their racism, it doesn't surprise me that you don't see it. I wasnt there either, but I didn't need to be. George admitted he killed an innocent guy. It turns out a guy who was simply walking home from the shops. It doesn't matter who started the scuffle that led to the fatal shot, the whole situation was created by Georges poor judgement. The guy wasn't suspicious, that was just Georges paranoia and more than likely racial profiling and excessive fear coupled with being on powerful pyschatric drugs like Benzos and Adderall. (the guy was a serial pest, ringing 911 over 50 times, even reporting children as young as 7 riding their bike, never once was a crime determined from one of these calls, Georges ability to spot criminal behaviour is definitely in question). So for me, it doesn't matter what you call it, murder, homocide, death by negligience whatever.. The fact remains George killed an innocent teenager and for that fact alone should be locked away from society until he is rehabilitated and no longer a threat to innocent civilians.

It means judging someone based on whatever you conclude is suspicious (in this case walking in the rain looking around) and reporting it to the authorities. That's not normal behaviour. This is something George did on a regular basis (reporting children as young as 7 riding their bike). George proved himself to be a poor judge of other people, none of Georges fifty emergency calls ever uncovered criminal behaviour.

Profiling means reporting someone going about their business as suspicious and harbouring criminal intent. It means judging someone based on whatever you conclude is suspicious (in this case walking in the rain looking around) and reporting it to the authorities. That's not normal behaviour. This is something George did on a regular basis (reporting children as young as 7 riding their bike). George proved himself to be a poor judge of other people, none of his emergency calls ever uncovered criminal behaviour.

I know what it's like to be stalked and king hit. I now know what to look for. I definitely would take someone out if they were following me in public. I would rather take my chances with the law than some weirdo following people as they go about their business. I experienced some victimisation at different stages in my life. I don't see any events in my life as shameful, I can talk openly about most of the things that has ever happened to me. I mean if you have never been a victim of anyone, then you should be grateful for your good fortune. It has nothing to do with you or who you are, you may have just lived a very sheltered life and towed the line. This is what a lot of people do, this is why they never grow comfortable within themselves, they learnt to avoid confrontation, but never are true to themselves. I see no shame in being a victim at times, it is merely a part of my story. Personally, I would never trust anybody who hasn't been the target of some victimisation, I would see them as non-genuine, or definitely lacking in character, afarid to be themselves The only way to do such a thing is to avoid conflict, and only cowards live a life of avoiding conflict.
Anyway, I soon learned, I definitely turned it around and have since created a few victims of would be victimisers. It has cost me a few convictions, but well worth it. I learned to not take shit from anyone, that's why you retards don't affect me, you try and try to get under my skin and all to no avail. I have dealt with fuckwits my whole life. it is believed he took a shortcut. He had a straight path. Trayvon was running thru the street, hence he had to take more of an "L" shaped path. He hung up to make that trek. Gun was in holster.

Everyone is prejudice.....its a natural human instinct to associate and be friends with people who look the same, talk the same, and act the same.
However, it has no bearing on this case.....Zimmerman is a Mexican and not once did I ever even make race a factor in it. I believe he chased and fought with Trayon because he wanted to play "police officer" and be seen as some sort of hero in the community and be respected.

LOL Zimmerman was a drug addict (probably the worst kind - hooked on powerful psychiatric drugs). He had long been using the highly addictive drug Benzodiazepine, a drug long associated with violence and criminal behaviour, and even homicidal thinking. FACT. Trayvon was a part of the generation of nothingness where doing the things he's doing in the photos is considered the norm for most of today's teens.
FACT. Whatever you may assume about him, he was still a kid.
FACT. He was at the time suspended from school and had no business out on the streets as late as he was considering he was in trouble.(parents?)

I would still argue the same based on the circumstances. I don't have a problem with Muslims per se. My issue is with Islam. Zimmerman was the one who created a self defense situation, no doubt. I wouldn't hesitate if I felt threatened to take the initiative if I felt I was being followed and I was exposed to an assault. And if following someone isn't illegal, it should be. I can't think of any good reason why someone would want to follow someone else. It's obviously a provocative act. I'm pretty sure the LAW refers to it as stalking. And who's to say George Zimmerman didn't try and detain Trayvon thereby creating a confrontation. He definitely indicated he didn't want this guy to get away. he already had the cavalry on it's way, he had a gun on him, he was confident the guy was up to no good. I have no doubt George tried to detain Trayvon, and it went awry.
And even if Trayvon was the one who initiated the conflict. The immediate question would be WHY? The only reasonable answer to this is that Georges suspicious actions led him to feel threatened. If you are going to put fear into other people either by stalking or acting suspicious, it is only reasonable to assume they may be out to harm you. That is the whole basis of stand your ground, if you have a reasonable fear that someone is going to harm you then you can do whatever it takes to prevent them from doing so. I find it perfectly reasonable that Georges actions caused a teenage boy to feel afraid for his well being and I wouldn't have a problem with someone taking pre-emptive action in such a circumstance. As it turned out, Trayvon had every right to fear George, he ended up being his killer. George created a threatening situation that gave someone else little choice but to react to it, the only person standing there ground was Trayvon.
Like I said, when I am out walking if someone was following me, I would find this highly suspicious, why else would someone want to follow you other than to harm you. I can't think of any good reason to follow any stranger. And the very last thing I would do if I suspected someone was up to no good is to follow them. Why on earth would anybody risk a confrontation with someone who was up to no good. If George was just going about his business not bothering anybody and some crazy black fella jumped out of the bushes and started beating on him, well then yeah, defend yourself. Everyone keeps saying "there is evidence that trayvon started the fight!" and that isn't true. nobody saw the fight start. The only evidence is the 911 call that trayvon was running and zimm was chasing - that 911 tape is pretty conclusive on that one. Zimm's own words.

Prosecutors have said Zimmerman, 29, racially profiled the 17-year-old Martin as he walked back from a convenience store on a rainy night Feb. 26, 2012, wearing a dark hooded shirt.
The race and ethnicity of the minority chosen for the jury was not immediately available. Zimmerman identifies himself as Hispanic.
Two of the jurors recently moved to the area — one from Iowa and one from Chicago — and two are involved with rescuing animals as their hobbies.
One juror had a prior arrest, but she said it was disposed of and she thought she was treated fairly. Two jurors have guns in their homes. All of their names have been kept confidential and the panel will be sequestered for the trial.
The central Florida community of Sanford is in Seminole County, which is 78.5 percent white and 16.5 percent black, roughly mirroring the jury's racial makeup.
Prosecutors and defense attorneys chose the panel of six jurors after almost two weeks of jury selection. In Florida, 12 jurors are required only for criminal trials involving capital cases, when the death penalty is being considered.
If convicted, Zimmerman could face a potential life sentence.

There's also other witnesses that say that Zimmerman was on top of Trayvon.....I honestly doubt any of this testimony will be reliable or accepted by a jury. Getting your ass whipped doesn't mean you're innocent.
I think what happened was this...... Zimmerman chased and confronted him and from there either Zimmerman or Trayvon swung first....Trayvon defended himself and was winning the fight when Zimmerman pulled out a gun and shot him because he was getting his ass kicked.
Either way, Zimmerman got himself in that situation by confronting him and will be held liable regardless as to who threw the first swing along I think that it was Zimmerman who threw up the knuckles first trying to be a hero. Jury will find him either guilty of manslaughter or second degree murder.......however the lawyer will strike up a plea bargain before that even happens.

Zimmerman crossed the line. I used to work in security when I was young and you never chase after anybody even if they're suspicious. That's not your job. You're not the police. Your job is to stay a safe distance and out of danger, and report. REPORT. That's it. This dude was clearly crossing the line of his duties and should get punished in some way. The fact that he went from a skinny bald dude before trial to an extremely obese dude with dorky hair tells us that he's somewhat guilty.
