See Hulkster what you don't understand is this . All rounds are physique rounds and a guy who has an advantage in ONE part of the criteria is NOT going to beat a guy who has more advantages in ALL of the criteria and what advantage did Shawn actually have anyway? aesthetics? lol seriously have you ever pondered his advantages in the criteria?

Shawn has great conditioning his density & dryness are great , to bad its a clear advantage for Dorian much harder to be 262 pounds and hard & dry than 205  balance & proportion? NO this isn't a strength for Ray he has small high calves in relation to his oversized quads and not to mention his lack of width and he's only 5'7" if he's lucky , whats left? muscular bulk? please  , Shawn is a great poser and has great presentation however you must remember ALL rounds are physique rounds so his lack of balance & proportion and muscular bulk and his push in density & dryness and posing & presentation he cannot gain ANY ground on Dorian .

Dorian enjoys advantages Shawn doesn't which is exactly how and why he won.

Sorry, but the lightest Fox ever came in was 215 pounds and that was the 1987 Mr. Olympia and yes, he was very depleted. Judges didn't want Bertil playing the size game, so he starved himself and suffered as a result. He looked best at 230-235 pounds in competition, which is what he competed at in the early 80's. Offseason weight was 260 pounds and he sported a very impressive 22" upper arm, with probably one of the best most muscular poses of all time (circa 1982).

If you look closely, he's rotating his forearm and fist forward, toward the audience, which is a big NO NO when you pose front double biceps. That only flatens out the biceps instead of fully contracting it and make it peak. Simple explanation.D

One guy can be holding tight where the other guy may be relaxing or hasn't tightened quite yet.  That's why video or being there is key.  Yates dominated the competition that year.  Everyone was battling for second place.  In the vid shown by the OP, you can see the extra skin on Nasser's stomach around 4:12 in the vid. Cut does not = dry.
