Squat Suit Workout (Light/Med)


This workout was just about trying to get a hang of this squat suit and see if I can keep my balance, and also practicing my walkout, which is difficult with all of the equipment on.   I didn't go heavy today, but I did pretty good with 275 and am at least more comfortable with that.  Obviously I hope to be squatting alot more than that once i figure this suit out!

My leg is still bothering me quite a bit, so I kept it pretty light with raw squats too and didn't do much extra stuff.  Gonna try to get some deep tissue massage soon, as much as I am dreading it.

The sets of 2 were supposed to be sets of 3, but shit happens.  ::)

Here is my final set of 275x3.  Like I said, I am getting the hang of it.  I still have 4 weeks to practice.  It's really challenging, and I don't mean the weight.  Breathing and balancing are the two biggest challenges for me.  I didnt' have a back spotter last night either, for the first time, so that was interesting.

Your form is looking very good Lori! Plenty of depth on those from that angle for sure.

Great job, once you get that spring effect working for you the weights will continue to pile on.

Bench Shirt Workout


It was supposed to be a heavy-ass workout last night with the shirt, but I wasn't feeling it.  My back is all tweaked and it hurts alot, I need to see my chiropractor.  And my bicep tendons are super pissed at me right now. 
My feet were sliding all over the floor last night, so I wasn't inclined to move the super heavy weight.  I think I am going to have to go to the gym for my next shirt workout because I can get better traction on the rubber floor.  So I will save my heavy ass work for next weekend, 3 weeks out from the meet.

RAW BENCH

These are sooooo hard.

Here's the set of 245x2 and the last set of 255x1.  I almost went for another rep on the last set, but I didn't feel like it was going to be a good one, so I bailed.

245 is starting to be really easy and 255 looks good....but for the life of me, I cannot tell if my ass is lifting off the bench!!  I think I need to wear different colored pants or something.  ::)

I tried to really go for it last night because I only have a couple weeks of trianing left before the meet.  My leg was "ok" but my big problem right now is my lower back.  I tweaked it a little last week squatting, and last night just killed it.  I am SOOOOO pissed that I didn't go to the chiropractor before I trained.  Now I am so messed up that it hurts to breathe.  I can't get to the chiro again till Friday, and I am not sure that I can do anything until I do.  I was planning on deadlifting tomorrow night but I dont think I can.   >:(

sorry to hear about your back, dont push it if you dont feel comfortable nothing worse then making a short term injury long term youll kick yourself even harder

Get yourself a foam roller and live on that thing between now and the meet.  That was pretty much the only way I kept my back from being a disaster, without it I would have been doing bench only if anything.

I really dont understand how those things work...lift told me about them but still i just dont get it  ???

I got fixed on Friday.  He said that my bottom three ribs were pushed back, and he said it was pretty bad and was going to hurt to fix.  He was right.  I was so sore yesterday it wasn't even funny.  It's definitely fixed, though, and it's alot less sore today.  I would really like to try to get into both the bench shirt and squat suit this afternoon...maybe not kill it but at least get under some fkn weight and get a little work done.
