There is no apostrophe necessary in "degrees".

Y board has standards of excellence.

You got those epic old school collars that are like 5lbs each.

I remember them well.

5.5 lbs each.

The bar weighs 39 lbs.

39 + 11 is an even 50.

I had a bar like that once.

Couldn't figure out why my bench in the gym was always a rep or so weaker than at home.

Found out it was the bar not being 45lbs.

I was wondering why 405 on the SSB bar felt heavier than on Power-Bar. When I weighed it, it then made sense, 55 lb. bar...

LOL.

I have a hex bar that I purchased from a guy who told me it was 57lbs.

Always wanted to do a 400lb pull years ago, then one day I just did it and did a 403 triple.

A half year later, I was moving the bar and said "man I am week, this just feels heavy".  Weighed it - it was 75lbs.

So all the weights I thought I was training were actually 18lbs more.  So my 403 retro'd to 421.

Switched to straight bar after and have not returned to the hex.

I like it.

Now I don't.

Felt more like a squat/leg exercise instead of a hip hinge when I tried it last time.

These feud between you guys needs to stop before it gets out of hand.

You should unite over both of your excessive use of the apostrophe.

5/27/24

1 leg calf raises - 3 sets 25-40 reps each leg
1 leg tib raises - 2 sets 50-60 reps each leg
Behind neck press standing - 12,12,12
Barbell row - 12,12,12
Flat bench press - 10,10,12
Upright rows - 12,12,12
Bb curls - 2x20-30 close palms up grip and 2x20-25 medium palms down grip
Knees over toes squat - 3x15 without weight
45 plate farmers walk - 3x90 ft

The high reps curls are because I have had some tendonitis in the left elbow that flares up from time to time and I'm attempting to toughen it up.

I have or had 3 Oly bars with odd actual weights.  These are not high quality bars but they were supposedly identical in brand and model.

36
37
38

Pretty odd.

The 39 is a quality bar and I expect it was meant to weigh 39 and then total to 50 even with the collars that came with the set. I bought the complete set used.

Also have 45 plates that actually vary in weight by 2-3 pounds.

Picked up some used standard 30 lb plates that vary.

You have to wonder, particularly with the plates, how they can be off by so much.

Yeah, the plate thing is odd.  The bars I can see, because my 35lb bar was shitty and eventually broke.

But the plates must have some filler or just really shitty quality controls.
