Mike,
At llittle late to compete.  I saw your pics with Shawn Ray in the early 90's,  why didn't you compete then  I mean it was easier then compared to today where every gym hero is on a cycle and taking diurectics.  Well if you do compete man do it safe not like these assholes that get all dehydrated and shit.   Good Luck.

So is this going to be your weight loss blogg then.

PS: How do I get an Avataar an animated one would be cool? Maybe you want to rethink yours though. Doesn't that Shirt say that you are GAY? If not it sure looks that way when it's shrunk down.

yeah, dude.  cardio is an energy killer.  but it's a necessary evil.  sounds like you got a great game plan going.  will this be your first time competing?

just keep taking it one day at a time.  truth be told, you're ahead of the average bb because you've already a good deal of muscle mass.

don't be surprised if the relationship gets "tense" after while.  it's amazing what the lack of carbs will do to your personality.  i tended to get really quiet and depressed, but the norm is for folks to get quite grouchy.   so tell Cheri not to be surprised if you snap at her every now and then.  hopefully, you won't, but if you do, it's normal.

stay focused, bro.

"MIAMI HELD IN JULY.......
23rd MIAMI CHAMPIONSHIPS - Level I, open to athletes from Dade, Broward and Monroe counties only. Ivy League Auditorium, James L. Knight Center, Miami, FL. Contact Sergio Pacheco, 305-823-8346 or George Prince, 786-236-4691"

Mike..this is a good show to get your feet wet as it has a good amount of competitors, not too big but not too small. I did it myself back in 95. At that time either Sergio or George owned a gym and suprisingly the winners of every weight class worked out at this gym. Now let me also preface that some of these guys deserved to win their class but others, no way in hell.....

Additionally you need more fat in your diet, the right fats and in moderation are your friend, not the enemy...

Fish Oils, Flaxseed oil, perhaps a few extra egg yolks, rice cakes with PB.......

Thats my 2 cents, take it for what it's worth....

Yeah, healthy fats are important.  Also, it would be a good idea to start cycling your carb intake at some point during your contest prep .  On days that you're not lifting, the rice and potatoes aren't really necessary.  So on your "rest" days, i'd just keep the oatmeal in the morning and replace the other complex carbs in your meals with broccoli (or a similar veggie.)  This will help you take off some of the weight that you want to lose without sacrificing muscle.

Actually NO, he did not quit.  Our computer is down (motherboard burnt out).  We are getting another computer (I am logged in at work right now).  Once we are up and running at home, we will add updates.

Take care.
