good stuff George...stick with the walking. I just finished work, itīs a Bank Holiday here... i have tomorrow off so i will train tomorrow. I will just mong out now...i am hungry... ;D

good points jay  clarify,,,,every leg press is different u can look like a mro strenght wise on one and a rank amatuer on others weird,,one we have is small /narrow /small foot plate can/t go too wide nor high,,,after heavier plates added 8 to 9 gets tougher to knee to chest,,,some people pile weight on top after they run out of room on pegs,,not one of them could touch my leg development,,nother guy today saw my legs through my track sweat pants and said those are thick legs u got stretching the pants side to side,,i have pressed 10/11 plates on some and the one here i mentioned i use 8 at the most it literally crushes me :P,,,i would say after maxxing knee to chest some heavy partials help in the process so 'yes'to some partials,,funny thing is most people who use this press have the seat pegs up 1 0r 2 or more from bottom which is helpful less on the top portion ,,i use last peg on pad long way down compared to eevn 1 peg up,,,1 peg up i can actually add another 45 and more reps with say 8 plates as opposed to 8 plates and last peg on back rest,,,its the backrest sorry jay forgot to explain is tougher all the way down.

 :'( :'( :'( I didn't work legs Saturday thinking my knee might be better yesterday, but it wasn't so I decided to skip a week to let my knee heal from whatever ails it. Tomorrow, I would normally work hams and calves. I am going to skip that too this week. Just normal walking or standing aggravates my right knee. Today is the one day a month I have a board meeting in the middle of the day, by the time I got home it was past my usual time to hit the gym. I am going to work arms tomorrow which is what I missed today. Hopefully, I'll be back on track next week with legs. Although I tend to wear somewhat baggy pants, there is no way anyone will be telling me I have thick legs anytime soon. So for now, you win!

There are two leg press machines at the gym. One of them is pretty simple. It does have an angled foot plate with a padded area at the bottom for working calves. People using this leg press, load it with 45 lb. plates. The other leg press is a monster machine. I think it is a Hammer Strength machine. There are several places to add the weight to this machine. I adjust it so that the back angle and the top part of the foot plate are parallel. I usually go pretty wide. Only occasionally do I go narrow. I generally reserve that position for hack squats.

If my knee doesn't shape up pretty soon, I may have a x-ray to find out what the heck is going on in there. It is still somewhat swollen.

I don't have a headache today, yet.  I only dropped two cups per day.  But I am serious about cutting that last cup out.  I have already thought ahead and decided that when I see my girlfriends for lunch/coffee I will order a hot chocolate on soy instead.  I usually get a soy mocha.

Although tea has caffeine too, I believe it is better for you than coffee. Do you have a Starbucks where you live? In warm weather their Chai Frappuccino is out of this world. I had a hot Chai Latte this morning on my drive down to Salem for my meeting. That's good too. Of course there is always green tea which is very beneficial to one's health.

chest 2 nite been creative since my slight setback but i'm steamrolling full throttle minus the bigger weights,,,but i'm doing some drops/supersets..

1...flat dumbells climbing up steep hill at times lol,,,used to warm up with 60's but ehh,,started 45/55/65/65 reps and form getting better still a tad weak at left shoulder in this position if i lost some reps with 65's i drop to 50 for a few more here's the creative thing..pump..good.
2...inc dumbell x3 supeset with inc flyes 50 lb dbell with 30 db flye/55 dbell to 35 flye /55 dbell and again 35 but lost some steam on both drop set to lower weights to get additional reps ok,,,
3...seated hammer low/mid press 2 45's per side 3x 10/12
4,,,cable crossovers x3 15/12/12/
5 ...dips getting better 8 reps 1st set,8 2nd ,3rd i had to stop and rest sec back up for few more,,,i could not do '1'few wks ago ,,so  ;D...

pushdowns x3
dip machine x3
2 set cable extensions facing mirror pull cable down top of the hand faces mirror kinda angle it straight out slight bend at elbow...

abs 2 exercises

outrageous pump......did 25 minutes instead of 20 minutes on treadmill......my endurance is getting a bit better.



next week i will switch to the elliptical.

I've backed off on the sometimes twice daily Starbuck's visits. There are 3 Starbuck stores near me; each about a mile from my house. Makes it hard to resist. I have a Gold card which I load up once a month or so. That way, I am not quite as aware of how much money I am spending at Starbucks, plus I get a free drink every 15 purchases.

I am really tired of peeing constantly.  I am going through two rolls of toilet paper per day.   :-\  I can't go more than ten minutes without having to go.  I trained chest and delts today.  Spent a third of the time peeing and washing my hands.

Chest,delts

db chest presses x 5 sets
pec deck machine x4 sets
db shoulder presses (seated) x 4 sets
db lateral raises x 3 sets

I am doing cardio in just over an hour.  It's outdoors so I am going to have to hold my bladder like I did yesterday.  I will aim for an hour again.

Edit*  Cancelled my brisk walk as my throat feels sore and I feel like I have some sinus thing happening.  The flu is going around here...one of my girlfriends just got over it.  I will go for my walk in the morning if I am up to it.

When I am fighting something off, I pee a lot too. I don't get the flu though. Never had a flu shoot and never had the flu that I can remember. Colds are another story altogether.

I never approach women. Women make the choice if they want you or not. So if at a bar or club eye contact is where it starts if a woman makes eye contact I just wait for her to make the next move if she does then I make the next move if not I walk out the door. A Psychological game.

Sounds like maybe a bladder infection. The pollen is bad here I had a sore throat a couple of days but gone away now. Good to see you are back into training.

No I don't.  I am just drinking a lot of water and flushing my body.  My throat doesn't feel the best and behind my eyes either but other than that I am okay.  I will see how I feel in the morning.
