Thanks....not a lot of competition for me either....I like the odds. Although if any of those old fat dudes start bugging my wife.........well I!

Ah come on, a lady likes to have some fun too. Let the guys flirt with your wife. It will make her day!  ;D

If that is the case, I have a responsibility to get my ass back in the gym on a regular basis so folks here will know that we are never too old to exercise. Clarence, who also works out at the same gym I do is 10 years older than me. He has better biceps than me too.

My Mother is 77 and she still hit's the gym 4 days a week. Still leg presses 2 plates on each side. Shows me I don't have to slow down.

I thought I was going to the gym last Friday for my first post physical therapy workout, but my wife is sick and we had company, so I stayed home. The company left just a few minutes ago and my wife went right back to bed. I think I'd better stay around the house today so I am close by when she needs something.

This gives me an idea. I am stuck at home taking care of my wife, but I could rearrange some things in the garage so that I can use the treadmill. I am not ready to run yet, but I could manage a fast walk for a half hour or so, getting in some cardio.

yes Jay...she is more important. why not get some home Training kit. Ok you have a running machine but maybe a fairly decent Multi gym...like Steve. I am glad i have my Home Gym and i alternate with Gym workouts.

I could do that. Of course I'd need to give up one stall in the garage and workout in sweats because it is cold as heck in the garage this time of year.

Our daughter, son-in-law and grandson are moving back in with us the first of February. All the bedrooms will be taken so I cannot set up a home gym in a bedroom. The good news is, our daughter will help me take care of Margie, which will facilitate my getting out more.

Yeah, I have been doing a lot of weight free exercising at home lately. It's all good. I was looking forward to hitting the gym and the weights though.

A Multi-station gym is a great idea for when you can't make it to the gym. I picked up one in perfect condition off craigslist a few years ago. I happened to get this one free, but I have seen nicer ones very cheap. I still look for the elusive seated and standing calf machines so I can throw in an extra calf workout on the opposite end of the week from my leg and calf day.
Prime... Good to see you still earning your gold stars at 69. I am 48, and hope to be earning my gold stars for many years. I quit competing in the early 90's, but still enjoy training as much as ever.

I couldn't have stated it better. My goals are to improve ( or at least try to maintain) aesthetically, but moreso, I want to be able to lead an active lifestyle such as hiking and mountain biking for a long time.

I live in a part of Germany that is flat. Hiking i would love to do. I used to go hill Walking in scotland with a good friend. I enjoyed the fresh air and it worked your cardio very well with a pack.

It is all about improving. Once you improve physique, your mindset is improved as well. You feel more confident, more energetic and much younger.
I have been lifting on and off for years but was never serious about it as there was always an excuse for not making progress.
I was never worried about dieting or bodyfat levels until I saw this pic taken mid 2013. That was a wake up call for me.
With a motivation and a proper diet advice from Gal&NoOne I have decided to make drastic change and step up big time with my commitment.
6 months later and difference is noticeable. And I am motivated as I was never before. Once you commit yourself nothing can stop you and everything is possible.
I was never this lean in my life and now at age of 47 I feel the sky is limit.
Will outline my diet and training soon as well.
Cheers fellas.
