It can be. After over twenty years of it I suppose I am used to it. I live on caffeine. I've stopped the caffeine entirely and still don't sleep. Once the sleep apnea is officially diagnosed I might be able to afford the dorkalyzer
breathing machine and sleep.
That's my hope and I'm stickin' to it!

Have you gone to a sleep center and had the sleep test?
My wife has sleep apnea. She submitted to a sleep study which confirmed it. Unfortunately, she cannot stand wearing the face piece and so she doesn't use the equipment. Her doctor gave up asking her about it and so did I. She nods off throughout the day, which probably makes up for the disrupted sleep at night.
Her catching her breath used to keep me awake. I started wearing ear plugs so I wouldn't hear her. These days, I am able to simply tune it out. Of course the bad thing in one can die from this condition. If she died in her sleep, I probably wouldn't know it until the next morning.
