It definitely depends on the content of the PM.  If it's deemed amusing enough to entertain the board then it should certainly be posted for all to enjoy.  A great example of this is a typical Derek Anthony PM.  The bitch can't spell for shit and argues like a 3 year old with ADD.  This of course will make for some great threads and a hearty laugh for all.  I say, post PM's with some discretion but let the tools be exposed!

I am posting a public record so that if King does walk up to me in the street and attempt to cause me bodily harm, I will be in a better legal position to defend myself should the use of deadly force be used.

Without posting it, it's a few PMs in a mailbox that disappears if I do.

With posting it, there are many people reading it who will remember it, and maybe talk some sense into King if he's really planning on doing it.  King can never tell the authorities "I was just in the area and ran into this kid who swung on me"- there will be a huge trail of cross-country threats and documention that it was pre-meditated.

I am just protecting myself.   I'd expect King to do the same thing if I sent him 4 PMs detailing my plane trip across the country to attack him.

In real life, when you fly 1000 miles to beat up somebody, there are legal ramifications.  Real life shit isn't a locker room fight.  It leads to life and death confrontations very quickly.  Ask Craig.  His plan probably wasn't to spend the rest of his life in prison/dodging the needle.
