Bench day... apparenlty I had too many silver bullets in my hands yesterday while working outside...yanno...incase of lycans and stuff!

135x5
185x5
225x5
275x5
315x5
365x3x3

felt as if I should've been able to do more but after sundays' boozing and all the benching LAST monday with higher reps, I believe I might've fried the CNS abit. First three of each set were cake but the forth one always bombed. Stupid cold beer...drinks so easily!!!

did some cable side raises, seated cable flys, cable pressdowns, and abunch of pullups for bench accessory. Light and easy! Due to the new bench setup, the choices in accessory should benefit it along with maintaining structural stability in my shoulders. The bench strong is MUCH shorter but it involves more stress on the chest and I'm making sure my shoulders have enough tonicity to keep it all together! Could potentially be a winner! Next week however I won't be benching my final HEAVY sets with the new setup until my joints adapt to the setup which should take about 4 months.

pulled yesterday abit...

495 and 565 for 5 each all paused...this is really helping my deadlift. I did drop some lb'age when I changed forms but the better it becomes the stronger it's coming together!

goodmornings for 135/185/225 for 20/15/10 reps...all 4:1 tempo to really overstress the hams and lowerback but not so heavy as to burn myself out. The heavy pulling and benching does that enough. Accessory should be complementary...not a workout in itself.

seated rows with a completely loaded down plate loaded row machine is becoming asinine.

benched abit

barxquadrazillion!!!
95x3
135x3
185x3
225x3
275x3
325x3
345x2
365x3
390x1x3
315x10

Going back to doing a back down set with some decent weight post allocated work...felt good but REALLY struggled with the 390.  Instead of rounding up to 390 I suspect I should've rounded down to 385.  Shoulders still feel the work like they did last week with the newer grip so I'm still torn.  Old grip I still feel it...new grip I feel it but it's new and wonder how well it will work. Today with the soreness I played with the bar. The OLD grip really pulls at my insertion points where the new one doesn't. Guess that means something too.

I think I'm going to go ahead and instead of using straight weight, I'm going to subtract 10% of my 1rm and then continue with 5/3/1...I'm taking a beating! Too it'll let my new grip adapt. Gonna go ahead with this starting next week...

bench day been pausing all my reps...

135x5
185x5
225x5
275x5
315x5
335x5
355x3
375x1x3 all easy reps!

shoulder still feels good after warming up..

Tried floor pressing and it really aggrevates it's down to doing push presses, pull-ups, and pressdowns.  Good thing I like all the exercises!

push press  was running late so just did two sets...

135x10
225x6

I'll be doing lighter push presses or potentially power cleans on light accessory day for conditioning. I plan on going back to pushing 145,195,and 245 next week.

tricep rope pressdowns... hellacious exercise.

Nice shit with the 405.  Looks like you're going to be hitting it for a triple pretty damn soon.

been a kickass week for sure!

deads

135x10
315x10
495x1 double overhand
565x1 doulbe overhand....started to lose my grip at lockout...and pulling 565 double over is a HUGE PR!
635x1
655x1
finally hitting some solid numbers in the deadlift again.  Hopefully 650-680 will go the first meet of the year.

good mornings

135x15
225x12
315x10
405xmissed..chickened out. I'm not holding the bar at squat depth but rather at the base of my neck i.e. where a SSB would sit and it's MUCH harder.
next week will go 185,275,365. I feel the accessory work is where the secret to my latest pulling success is located. I'm pausing EVERYTHING, all pulls are from a dead stop, and all other accessory work like hamstring curls, etc are held for a couple of seconds with slower eccentric/concentric phases.

some curls and pullups...

yeah man...kicking grip ASS!!

benching yesterday sucked. hit 365 for 4 and struggled HARD with 405 for single.. TOO much too often. Stalled where I usually to. Ran out of time so I did push presses today...and MAN what a day.

95x2x2
135x2x2
185x2x2
225x2x1
275x2x1 both EASY and to my best recent memory..an all time PR!

also had some 1hand pinch pr's too! Solid clean up for a shitty bench. I figure as my push press progresses so will my bench. Thinking of heavy doubles upto 405 for a single weekly and doing back down sets to get to seeing it again. Seems to be the ticket with most things here lately.

bench

weak today but trained smart...

135x5x2
185x5x2
225x5x2
275x5x1
325x5x1
345x5x2...would really like 3 and a long term goal of 5.

next week.. 365 for 2 sets of 3

push press

135x5
185x5
225x5
275x1x2...still making it happen but not solidifying it. Need to make this a staple before deciding where to go from here. 225 is easy but 275 is all technique and that needs to change.

press downs for a few sets

deadlift

135x10x1
315x10x1
565x8x1..

don't have time for that prep shit anymore...i felt like going right to 565 was a solid choice and it felt VERY good from start to finish. Probably took more time than necessary between reps 6-8 because of running out of air at the bottom with my belt..but I did the work!

50kg 1arm kb swings...

20 for 2 sets each arm

some hamstring curls

bench yesterday after destroying my back and probably fucking it up further than i did the week before squatting...alot of severe spasms and tightness. Hopefully ti's just a pull. Seems to feel that way. I deadlift tomorrow so I'll take it set by set. Bending straight over doesn't seem to be a problem..it's torsion.

135x10x2
185x5
225x5
275x5
315x5
335x2
355x2
375x1
395x1

incline

135x10x1
185x10x1
225x10x1 felt good...might stick with rotating this in just because I couldn't push press due to the back..go figure.

bench

135x10x1
225x10x1
315x8
315x8
318x8
318x8

incline (30*)

225x8x3

wide grip lat pulldowns

5 sets for reps...

DE bench

koji benching for DE work..

135x3x3
added koji bells...
135x3x3
155x3x3
185x3x3

left it there..benching felt PERFECT and i know this will help my overall stability and control. I really like this exercise.

front raises up to 50lbs under control for 6 reps each (obviously I could more but it's DE day....)

few sets of lat pull downs and pressdowns....

we'll see how monday's benching goes. If I did it right..it'll work..if i didn't and I didn't think this through enough it'll obviously show.

squat (first day back under any kind of weight after the accident...)

135x5x3
225x3x1
315x3x1
405x1x1
525x1x1 with the belt and a wider stance! Not a single twinge today!

turns out goodmornings are the only exercise that really tests the strained area..

135x20
185x20

called it a day...

pulled 625 yesterday for a solid single without a single back twinge.  Good sign of things to come!
