as long as you have no felonys,you are 21 or older.you should be good.

sure,but be prepared to spend $1200-$3500 and get it in 44 magnum dont get it in 50cal.you will have a hard time finding bullets for the50cal.

We hear a lot of the BS about cops against guns... Maybe in NYC... I live in the corn field...

Everyone here by me owns guns... I cant recall a real gun crime ever making the news in my small town.

The only reason NYC cops are opposed to private citizens having guns is because it doesn't apply to them. If they were required to leave their own guns at the police station before they punched out and went home they'd change their tune real quick. It's hypocrisy at its finest!

Seriously, why does anyone think they need a .44 or .50? A 10mm or .40 S&W is the most you'll ever need unless you're planning on hunting elephants or something.

They are simply fun to shoot!

And I wouldn't even consider it adequate for Brown or Griz bear, much less Elephant.
Its a good deer handgun (.44) Actually, its about the legal minimum (Handguns) in my state for deer hunting.

because the desert eagle comes in three calibers 357,44,50ea.if you get the 44 or the 50,all you have to do is swap out the barrel even the mags are interchangeable.

and you don't buy a desert eagle for practicality,you buy it because it looks cool as shit

I can't carry a gun or knife legally in my country, but i'm interested in them - not in a disturbing kind of way but because they are a vector of power and force, my dad used to carry a Glock 17 and let me tell u that was a big fucking pistol, probably not really the type for self defense or concealment for that single reason but it was cool nonetheless - and im sure you've all seen the durability tests of those guns.. nothing like em.

I'm pissed that CA has the assault rifle ban. I had a sweet deal lined up for an M4 and that got screwed. Shit. If I am at home and want to draw down on an asshole and put a few .223 rounds in him, why not? What's the difference between that and a .45 round from a Glock?

Edged weapons training is very useful. Right on with the knives guys. Remember the hypothetical best places to stab.

when we were trained in knife fighting, they told us straight off:

"if you get into a knife fight, accept the fact that you'll probably get cut. do that and you'll be good to go"

Living in fear of your neighbors is no way to go through life. I am not anti gun but I cannot see going through life carring a gun 'just in case'. And I think hunters are cowardly and delusional.

If some of you live in bad area, there are many other things you can do to improve it than to carry a gun. Carrying a gun seems like a last resort to me.

BTW, New York City has been Republican now for that last 15 years, it is not a 'liberal' city. We are just educated.
