interesting stuff, when i was younger i was able to keep my carbs higher n still stay lean, i have to keep my carbs super low to get leaned out. double edge sword tho when i cut my carbs i get alot weaker n cant train with poundages im used to so i feel like my muscle is gonna shrink since im not hitting it with the same weights. when i look my best im not very strong, when im at my strongest i usually am holding to much body fat, ive changed my diet around alittle n im having some complex n alittle simple carbs up till 1pm, then after that its all greens for carbs, im still losing bodyfat n maintaining a decent amount of my strength, i like it also cause i dont feel like a zombie when i was on zero to low carbs, i got some decent energy now
in food intake i do not notice any difference compare to when i was 20, jpints and other things are other story though.
how one reacts to carbs has everything to do with insulin sensitivity, believe it or not.its as simple as that.
now there are many factors which decide to how good ones insulin sensitivity is.
it can be summed up that the lifestyle as youngster adds greatly to it, makes you benefits.
and ofc how lean one is, but thats merely another indirect cause.
