Ha, ha fooled you. All the rest of us are laying about on the beach while you are in the gym pumping iron! Oh that's right, you already had your vacation. You spent it doing pushups on the beach and pull-ups under the boardwalk....now it is our turn!

Thanks.  It started off with a migrane and I felt light headed and then the next day my throat was sore.  It hasn't progressed from there so hopefully I am in the worse of it.  I hate sore throats too....they make me totally miserable.

After the month long cold in July, the mere mention of a cold coming on strikes terror in my mind. Although I am well now, I have not yet returned to the level I was at working out prior to having bronchial pneumonia. I feel like such a total wimp. The "cold" has passed and now I am once again dealing with knee pain as a result of the miniscule tear. I am about ready to take myself out in the woods and put a frigging bullet in my head to end my misery....not to be all dramatic or anything!  ;D

My wife and I got up early this morning to prepare for her sister's visit from out of town. We had everything ready for lunch. I cleaned the house and set the dining room table. And here we sat, wondering where her sister and her brother-in-law were when their projected arrival time came and went. Two hours later, my wife called her sister. They are coming up from Corvallis tomorrow and not today. My wife got the day wrong. My day was shot. This is the story of my life these days. It is very frustrating!

You probably had the right day they changed it and didnt tell you and were just trying to throw you off to mess with your mind.  ;D

My brother and his wife once told my mom they were coming for dinner so she cooked and was ready for them around 6 or so they showed up at 11 pm wanting a place to sleep with two kids never called or anything.

Jay the solution is to eat the scrumptous cooked meal your wife made and let your sister inlaw and husband order pizza tomorrow.  This is a win win.   ;D
Sorry to hear about your knee.
It feels as though I am swallowing razor blades.  Bought some green tea today and will drink that.  I need hot things on my throat.  I really feel like soup but don't have the energy to make it myself.  And I am quite light headed...already been behind the wheel of the car and I am not quite with it, so I won't go out and get take out chicken and corn soup from my fav thai place.

Good suggestion with the lunch. We are doing something similar. The pasta salad my wife worked so hard on is fine to serve today. We cooked and ate the shrimp last night as it would not have kept. I bought premade chicken skewers at the market which I will barbeque today to have with the salad. The key lime pie was frozen so it is fine to thaw it out for desert today. All will be good.

My wife's pride is just a little wounded since she got that date wrong and feels a little embarrassed about it. I only wish I'd considered the possibility that this was what happened before she'd called her sister to see where they were yesterday. My wife has been having some issues with memory lately, which could be caused by her medications or poor physical health. We'll manage though.

I will not tell Falcon you are eating meat.

You can tell him if you wish. If we all ate just vegetables, there might not be enough of them to go around and then Falcon would get so hungry he's have to grab a piece of meat to gnaw on just to stay alive. I say we hog tie him and force feed him a Tri-tip. It will make man out of him. (no homo)!

I have yet to try his oven roasted potatoes with honey and mustard. I am thinking I will give these a go with a twist. Instead of spreading honey and mustard on them, I will use some honey mustard salad dressing to oil them up before roasting them. What do you think?

My wife's sister and her husband just left. We had a really nice lunch. Yesterday's salad was excellent and the chicken skewers were almost as good as last night's shrimp. The key lime pie was just passable. Guess I need to learn to bake.

I am off to buy some electronics now; a backup drive from my laptop before it crashes again and I am less successful recovering the operating system then I was the other day and a charger for the Nook which has gone missing as did the Nook for over a year. The charger is only a couple of bucks though.
