A lot of people are saying Phil intentionally CREATED THIS CONFLICT, so that Kai would be moved across the stage, so he didn't have to be compared directly to him anymore.

Also, Phil hit all his poses late/last, sometimes as the other competitors had finished their poses. He can't be beaten by Kai in any pose on photograph, if they're never posing at the exact same time ;)
Phil moved into his space - maybe to create that conflict so Kai would be moved, which he was. The commentators were saying "We NEED to see Phil and Kai side by side", but Phil made sure that didn't happen. He continually bumped Kai until Kai got upset, then Phil looked at the judges, pointed to Kai and - wait for it - have him moved to another part of the stage.

-Great Olympia so far. Bonac stepping WAY up to top tier physique wise--he looks like a golden era!! He was incredible! Rami showing even when he cuts he holds his fat in legs especially hamstrings and he needs to lose a lot of weight next year (not a lot but 20 lbs would be good) to crack the top 5. I have him in roughly 6 slot now. Behind Branch, who showed up dialed in and I believe will retire this off season. As Roelly should/must. Roelly looks as bad as Jojo. Bad as johnnie.

AGREED. On both matters. Dex brought it. I personally had my predictions a bit- well... illegal ha- in that I had 6. Dex/Shawn 7. Dex/shawn, as in i couldn't decide which one would take which place. But shawn stepped WAY WAY up. Dex also did. But Dex is showing age more. They're still two of my favorites of all time, in the big picture. Classy through and through. They both look fantastic for this crop. And Branch I predicted would be GIFTED 5th place. The surprise is that he brought it and he deserves his fifth. some orgs in europe have this division, called "Classic bodybuilding", where the classes are divided by a weight over height ratio.... brings out a lot more of the bodies similar to what you see in the mens physique division... but they still compete like bodybuilders, in the speedo, hitting bodybuilding poses....
I mean unless, i'm mistaken, the mens physique division doesn't even hit bodybuilding poses like side chest, most muscular etc etc.

I had it as Wolf and Sleepy for 1st and 2nd respectively, with Wolf being more defined and Sleepy having better overall balance due to actually having calves.
I am starting to think that maybe all of these guys can't keep this drug use up, especially when they try and up the dose over and over. Dennis is what bodybuilding needed but again, they went with an arrogant liar in first followed by the slut known as Kai in second. Shawn is a good choice for third and to my eyes looks better than either Phil or Kai.

Couldn't agree more. Being named the 4th best bodybuilder in the world, while having absolutely zero calf development and dreadful awful biceps is absurd. Just absurd.
Its not a good example to use Ronnie. Every bodybuilder has flaws. Ronnies only real flaw was his calves. Its not that calves dont matter. Its just that Ronnie was so dominant with other bodyparts, that one weak bodypart was not enough to dethrone him.

Each one of them have bigger calves than Dennis and each one of them is under 200 pounds. Dennis is what, 260 pounds or thereabout, mass monster.
It is hard not to focus on his calves as they are the first thing you notice when you look at him on stage.
at least Ronnie had some size to his calves, they were not a great shape or well defined but decent size. Not out of proportion with the rest oh his body.Let's all remember who is truly king

calfs do not alter the 11 mandatory poses that much. Very marginal and he was the most condition guy on stageMaybe, but...
