Saw an 80lb sand bag at Sports Authority.  $199.  They can go fuck themselves.   $199 for what's basically a gym bag.

The GI Bag was 39 dollars on amazon and I stuff it with clothes and general stuff to make it heavy.   Use it to run like a fireman carry or a snatch like lift 5 or 10 times at circuit station

199 is absurd.    The speed sack I thing was 49 dollars.    The kettlebells are real expensive too everywhere

That's because they're "popular" right now. KB's are actuall antiquated training equipment - a primitive version of dumbbells. But, because they're trendy with certain exercise demographics, manufacturers can charge what they do.

Good call.

This doesn't look bad, other than saying "ring to cage" on it:

Not bad but I am always leery about buying things w no reviews like that - even if its 39 dollars.

I don't spend crazy money on equipment - the only thing I probably went overboard on was the GoRuck gear - but in all honesty - it is the toughest and best out there from my experience and they gave me 20% off when I signed up for GRC in NYC September 7 2013.  Also gave me a free GoRuck Light event in NYC in July 2013 for signing up for the "GR Nasty" even in September which looks fucking B E A S T

Will the tape hold?

They tie it off  (no jonnynoname) with plastic ties before the tape, so I think it will.

That's heavy.  Mine will be 40-80.   Hope it's better than the useless safety squat bar I built.

The GI Bag option is the best since it has multiple uses.

That's a good move.   Probably have to use a heavy duty trash bad as a bladder to stop leakage.

First time trying these...95lb :-[

...felt awkward..and you can really feel it in your back.my friend told me you're suppose to hold the bar above your ears and stay on your heels.

You should probably start with the bar until it becomes more comfortable.  Or, do what I do, and say fuck that shit.

I did do a couple of sets of just the bar.
