Well Hankins showed up at the Home Depot. Don’t know if Josh trolled him the whole time or what but he showed so I gotta give him that.
Hankins is easily trolled here and has his faults as we all do but he has taken a beating from this forum for almost 3 years or so and hasn’t “been faded” haha, so he seems like he has earned his place amongst us assholes.
He did one show and part of another and videos everything for getbig so while most may not like him he is prob the most transparent getbigger here.
Say what you will he has earned my respect but I never attacked him anyways. I’m sure most will continue attacking by just saying my .02
Also has a sick house and sick toys. He is living a getbigger lifestyle for sure.

I've said before I have no issue with competing in the event. None. Sounds like fun, to be honest.
Just don't make it the only standard for strength, or shit on the legit strong guys here like gymrat, SC, residue, krank, etc...

I also wasn't in on anything, but I was pissed earlier at Hankins not wanting to meet him or go look for him. You can't talk that much shit and then not show, but fair play, He went down there and he managed to turn it around. Brians OK, I try not to harass him too much. I even apologized once in the beginning when I was laying into him too much.
He does deserve it though, and I think he knows it, and it doesnt bother him too much.
The guy is strong (some lifts) and Im sure can handle himself just fine w/ dem dare fisticuffs. ;D

I think you’re spot on, Rob. Bhanks has been getting attacked for like 2 years straight now and hasn’t blinked. Some of the stuff he’s faced has been really out of line, like digging up his alleged criminal history and contacting his family members/loved ones. And yet, he’s still here, engaging with the haters and posting everyday like a boss.
I’ve been posting here for eleven years (:-X) and I can’t think of anyone who’s dealt with such a sustained level of vitriol for as long as he has. I’m not sure anyone else could withstand the pressure. What even turned everyone against him .. because he’s cocky and talks shit? Gimme a break ::)

I haven’t been keeping up with all the details so I may be mistaken. I was under the impression avesher was traveling through the US and was planning on coming to bhanks “exact location”, culminating in todays planned confrontation at the Home Depot. If these statements are inaccurate, then I stand corrected.
100% agreed that bhanks is too easily trolled. On the other hand, it’s hard to fault someone who tries to back up their claims with evidence.

I did 355 that day and everyone said it wasn’t deep enough I did 365 much deeper if I had done the same depth as the 355 I would have hit the 405 but everyone said go deeper so I did but 365 for a little sketch and it wasn’t improving my quads anyway so I said fuck it and stopped at 365 could I have gotten more maybe but I don’t even have a spot so no that was enough

I have an IQ of 147. I score 99th percentile on every standardized test I have ever taken since grade school. I would bet money my son will test out as a genius.
The public school demanded I take an IQ test before they had even started administering standardized testing to the class as a whole. They made me sit through hours of testing as a 3rd grader. They would send me to Doctors they even had me take a fucking catscan of my brain as a child. I can't tell you how many times I had to go through the same shit came back genius IQ everytime. I used to chuckle when the standardized test scores came in and my teachers who assumed I was some kind of retard would be shocked every time. You would think eventually the questions would stop but they never do. Always some fucking idiot trying to call me the idiot meanwhile I am 3 standard deviations past the mean.
Someone brought it up. Pre 1995 SAT scores can be used for IQ as can GMAT scores. Both my SAT and GMAT 5 years later matched up with a 147. Additionally I was 99th percentile 130 ASVAB which at the time was the highest score you could get I did not miss a question. I have a CFA in addition to a degree in Finance. You may disagree with me most do but I am not slow.
I said I have taken multiple I am also showing you that almost any standardized test score of the population can be converted to an IQ if you understood bell curves and normal distribution and standard deviations you would understand these things. I was also forced to take an IQ test by the public school I dont recall which one it was as I was a godamn child. I was also given them by multiple doctors again I dont know which ones but I have put freaking triangle shaped blocks together and recited random digits back under time constraints for hours on end too many times to count same result always genius IQ. I also know my PSAT SAT and GMAT convert to a 147 and my asvab was off the charts 99th percentile anything 99th percentile is going to be 3 standard deviations past the mean on a normal bell shaped curve I am technically a genius whether anyone likes it or not.
Can you not read I dont know I took them from 2nd - 7th grade. But I absolutely took several and I have seen the scores. I also explained you can covert asvab sat pre 95 and gmat to IQ all of which ]I have taked all of which way 147 direct correlation sorry you dont understand regression analysis and distribution curves.

I just looked at the chart the other poster made in this thread showing a 1390 was a 137 but my sat was before recentering at which time a 1390 would be a 147 and again I was a year younger than others taking the exam if I had taken it a year later I would have scored even higher. My Dad was a Rhodes scholar who graduated from Duke and my mother graduated with a master degree suma cum laude from Syracuse at 20. You guys may not like me but technically speaking I am a genius

I had the interview 10 days ago for the raise. I work from home in my pajamas and make more money than I could make at any local job on the beach. I don't consider that a failure. I am not a failure professionally. I make good money working from my office in my pajamas. I can do that because I have real professional credentials. I could make a lot more if I wanted to work in an office in a city. I don't want to do that. I also made 500k one year working for myself and I am sitting in a 2 million dollar home that has doubled in value since I purchased it. I really don't think my finances are that bad. I am 45 years old I am going to make it to 55 just fine. I don't contradict myself you idiots just have shit reading comprehension and do not understand nuance. Everyone has a history of failed relationships until they don't better to move on than remain in a shit relationship. I am married now to a woman who has lived with me for the last year and I have been dating for 3 years our relationship is awesome. I have plenty of trophies and medals over the years. I got sick due to my crohns it happens. This is not a college essay. Only convictions count I was falsely accused by an angry ex and vindicated in court. I grasp concepts other's can't and I can get high level work done. I am good with numbers. I am a very fast reader. Life is still difficult everyone has a difficult life and unique challenges, but it would be much more difficult if I was slow.

It’s frustrating because I was finally getting back to full strength which would allow me to take my training to the next level and now I am back on the sidelines slowly atrophying away as I heal from surgery. But I needed to get this fixed as I feel further damage could have been done increasing the weight with an active hernia. I should be stronger after I heal and recover or well have a better core to build the strength. Also if I ever wanted to do a show again it should help. I am in this for the long term I know I will be in crazy shape again because I can’t wait to be cleared to train.

If a person does a one rep max bench press but doesn't go all the way down, you could argue - he can't do that weight. But if he does that for TEN REPS, then he very clearly CAN DO THAT WEIGHT, and the only argument is for how many reps he can do it.
Whether I could only do 8, 6, or even only 4, I CAN PRESS 100-LB DUMBBELLS FOR REPS.
As a matter of fact, you dumb mother fucker, I can literally hold 100-lb dumbbells on my shoulders, wait two seconds, and press it up, completely at rest.
So YES, I can do that weight. Even if I only get five reps with the 100-lb dumbbells, I can still get it.
You critiquing my form is one thing - you claiming I need to go down another foot on what is an obviously lift [and stronger than ANYTHING you have ever done], and saying I couldn't get any reps is another matter entirely.
As I said, a few more inches down would be sufficient by MY standards. Shoulder press is not a lift where most people have a uniform view of what is sufficient depth - and the instructional videos online show that.

No they are all dipped on one side because your wrist are going everywhere keep your wrist position at 90 degrees and your hands straight. Do you see how your wrist are open and the dumbell is falling back and its slanted? Curl your wrist forward so the knuckles come straight off the wrist not behind them and tight so your hands dont move you are moving your wrist during the movement. I bet you would be able to lift more if you had a stronger wrist and hand position keep your wrist and hands locked at 90 degree do not let the weight roll your hand back and open up the wrist
The dumbell should be on the meaty part of your hand at the front by your thumb like mine not behind it like it is in your photo forget weight forget depth fix your wrist and hand position and that stuff will fix itself the dumbells should not be at a 45 degree angle sliding down the back of your hand. they should be locked parallel to the ground in the meaty part of your hand with your wrist straight not rolled back you will be stronger if you do this

Yes, I agree with you that I have some insufficiency in my wrists. It could be a weakness, or just bad technique that sort of became "codified" into my muscle memory, if you will. I think our form gets into our muscle memory, and we need to break it.
And I also feel it can take a solid few months or more for your body to "remember" that good form.
Keep in mind I was used to competing in strength contests where the form doesn't matter, as long as you lock it out!
So I think that's the issue.
I SHOULD stick to bodybuilding-only now...but I always have that instinct to lower my reps.
But, look, B. Hank - I don't have any problem with you pointing out my form being a bit off when it is. It's just this thing on here where people rip into others for minor things.
And I also don't admitting it: that set was one of my best sets. I mean...my lifetime PR is with the 105 dumbbells for three reps.
So it was a good lift for me. But it was really Walter Sobchak insulting me after that soured me on the whole experience.
I have NO PROBLEMS with you correcting my form - but saying I could to a foot lower, then Walter calling me a wreaking on a lift I worked hard for...it just annoyed me.

Its a heavy lift but dig this you will be able to lift heavier if you don't open up your wrist letting the weight roll back like that. If you want to lift heavier keep the wrist tight and knuckles pointed to the ceiling with the dumbell up in the meaty part of the hand that way the weight is coming down straight on bone and not bending your hand backwards. Its a stronger position you are at a mechanical disadvantage the way you are doing it roll that hand forward and you will be able to press heavier weight. You want the dumbell above the forearm bones so it is resting on your skelatal frame not all the weight pulling your hand backward because the dumbell is behind your forearm with no bone below it for support. That is why they bend in because the side of your forearm is supporting one side as it dips and touches. you want the top of your forearms where they suppoert the meaty lower part of your pal suppporting the weight not the side of your forearm being pushed in. How can you not see that the dumbells are not in the right spot? Your knuckles should be facing the ceiling not the wall behind you. That will keep them parallal to floor and neither side will touch your forearm

You have a better back than he does, and the back counts the most.
He looks better from the front than you, but has run some heavy doses of steroids for pretty much 20-25 years straight. Up to 2 grams a week. If you did that much juice you'd most likely look better than him, but you would probably also spend more time running around the streets of Canada naked no selling taser shots and would have gotten imprisoned at some point so it'd be a wash.

Also, Matt, your form is the proper way of doing shoulder presses. Going below 90 degree elbow bend is bad for the shoulder joints. People use exaggerated ranges of motion on lots of exercises that is provably bad.

When I had my double hernia, the doctor did not put a mesh in. He said once he got in, he would see what was up. He decided against the mesh as I was only 20 and my stomach muscles appeared to be rather strong--I just did overdid it with squatting and deadlifting. Going on 22 years later, no issues. I like that he was cautious and didnt put in a foreign object in my body unless he thought it was 100% necessary.
